Come on man. You don't have to front. You like the staff. There isn't anything wrong with that. They exhibit something that you like. I don't know what it is but that's you. You have a right to feel that way. That being said we're year away from NSD and 2 years away from 2017. We don't even know if the players will stick, will progress or unfortunately be alive by then. It's premature to congratulate the staff when we all saw this in 2013, 2014, and 2015. You have to finish first. We actually have an alarming amount of commits right now. Majority of the players may not be the best players by the conclusion of the 2015 season.

You've been the biggest staff protector for the past month. Don't deny it and try to backtrack now and try and pass if off as a negativity problem when the rest of your post is this rah-rah, "they can make a run," statement that's past just positivity.

To your actual post, great for the staff to be racking up top tier talent for the classes thus far. I'll get really excited if/when the season is successful and the players actually stick but so far and this juncture I couldn't have asked for better.

2015 Class was nothing close to this 2016 class though.

No some posters on this site are delusional. Just because someone has optimism about the team doesn't mean I am a golden supporter.... I hate golden but I like what he is doing this offseason so far outside of him not firing the temple guys. And it's not a big reach as some are thinking like I said fsu will be losing alot, Clemson will be losing a lot on defense, Nebraska lost Abdullah, and miami will again have the top talent coming back in the coastal. I give two sh*ts about golden tbh. I just want my canes to win. Just because I'm not openly rooting for my canes to lose like a lot of you guys on this board yall want to neg somebody because of a positive post? That's crazy man...

Giving credit when it's due. I agree ,he needs to close well on the field to close well in recruiting though. I'm just hoping for change man. We got talent and good young QB coming back.

Our problem was we did not believe that Al practiced what he preached. We thought he would get change and better, but he is the same coach every day! That is what he always said he wanted from the players: "Be the same player every day." They eventually got that way and he has always been that way. The problem is the same is 6-6. This year we finally had a couple half way decent DT and a Miami caliber QB but Al stayed the same coach every day. When you are RIGHT there is no reason to change.
 
Cot**** fellas. Back off. I think most of us expect the inevitable but it's ok to give them credit for what's going on right now. What's the point of the recruiting board if that's not the case?

So let me make sure I understand. Not cool to praise current positive recruiting events? Cool to bash current negative recruiting events? Got it.
 
LOL, take the elite players. Have you not seen all the "elite" players go elsewhere less a couple here and there. Some UM recruited hard, while others they had no shot and given the cold shoulder.

This 2016 class isn't about elite players. It's about Golden doing damage control for the last F'd up fours years worth of South Florida recruiting! Everything for him is about his persona. The man is just trying to survive and is willing to break his own recruiting rules.

Great points.texas did this for years when Brown first got there and they got early commits from even higher rated players instate most were 4 and 5 stars compared to miami getting early commits from 3 and 4 starts.When Texas became mediocre Brown and most who followed the program closely admitted it was a mistake to take so many early commits and not wait for SR seasons to be over to see who developed.The other Texas schools jumped on those other prospects Texas hade no room for.

This is exactly why I don't like the 19 verbals we have. Especially since there is some existing tensions among people in the area. Take the elite players and let everyone earn their keeps through the season. Some of these kids we can wait on. We're bound to miss and drop a few. That's a recipe for disaster. The sad thing is Brown had some success before it caught up with him but Golden doesn't.

I believe skepticism regarding recruiting is warranted. I think the time for effusive praise has not yet come. I believe some of our verbal commitments committed with absolutely no intention of coming to Miami. The question is, how many and who?

The issue with a lot of our fans is that we always give Golden unwarranted credit. Since he got here and always spewed nonsense, our fans always said "he's building something" when he was destroying everything. Don't give him credit for this it's still early. He had 4 top running backs and lost 3 to our rivals. You don't get credit for March especially when no one has played a game during their senior year.
 
Ok so Golden is a salesman, but these kids want to see results.

They all know that if this train gets turned around Miami is very dangerous. The kids don't want to miss the boat.

When we win they don't want to miss out. The problem is we have been losing so they jump ship at the last minute like rats from a sinking ship.

We have all said it before and it still stands today win and we will have most any kid from the state of Miami.
 
When the faxes show up I'll start patting his fat back, until then, it's all bs.
 
Thing is he aways does an excellent job when it does not count. When it really counts and has to come thru...never. Guy is the best loser in the business.
