While Canespace was not the expansive site that Canesinsight is, it filled a wonderful nitch after the Sun Sentinel shut down its comments section in 2006 (primarily as a daily / weekly blog that had many pages of comments per article. I was a regular there before I found this site about six years ago. I went to check it out tonight to see what the comments were after the game and found this:

Does anyone know what happened, and is it gone for good?

I noticed the same thing when I went to visit there yesterday, I hope SOUP finds another alternative. Otherwise, it'll be the end of an era, sad.

Where my SS Crew at? Sun Sentinel blog is where a bunch of us were tearing it up dealing with Shandel before Jenn and Chris RIP got us to AATU and then THE WEST END ZONE which @DMoney has no memory of

That was the journey. 19 years. For me a kid in college, an idiot, to an adult idiot, losing a father. Different relationships. Family members passing. Friends married and unmarried. Building a family myself

The weird constant was this online community about Canes football. ******* with @JCanes, hes probably banned for being a wezzie lowlife. We were all excommunicated. I have found redemption. @RVACane

Its been a strange journey. And I used this description when I was laying in the ****ed soaked floor above the WEST END ZONE of the Orange Bowl in section 110 in 2000. Kick had just sailed Wide Right. And then just a pile of sweaty "STRANGERS BUT BROTHERS". Crying, yelling, sweating. Just pure celebration. PAUSE. OR ALL HOMO whatever the ****.

Strangers but brothers is almost the calling card for us here. Very weird but important constant if you truly love The University of Miami Hurricanes

You’re a good dude - I'm glad you’re here, especially for this season the way it’s going. We’ve all suffered through the hard times, many of us here together and many like you on other boards pre-dating this one.

I still have a “Canespace… for the fans, by the fans” T shirt.

Soup/86 Cane is on X, we could just ask him what’s up

I spent a couple years on that site as well before I found Caneinsight. It was a good site, but obviously not nearly the level that this site is. I remember the owner of the sites logo was a Campbell’s can of soup. Lol
