We have 2 icons lined up for tomorrow’s CanesInsight Live YouTube Show @9pm. I’ll post the link here tomorrow prior to the show.

Stefan is on for the first 30 minutes and then Zo/Mel/Max get on to talk about their app. CrowdIt sounds like a really unique idea that could really enhance your social media experience. It should be hitting the App Stores any minute. Make sure you download it to help support the Cane family, they have a lot of ideas for this to help the current team as well as recruits.

Mel/Zo are hysterical and don't hold anything back when giving their opinions or telling stories. I highly recommend listening to this show.

Their thoughts on former players blowing Nick Saban while casting Miami in a bad light.

and on why Blake James doesn’t hire from the CIS coaching tree…

how close Alonzo was to Chief of Staff?

Is Warren Sapp an *******? - asking for a friend

I wish I could think of a really good question, but can you tell them I said hi and I'm really, really glad they were Canes.

What is the new path of success for UM in modern college football? (ie, We will never have the budget of the top 10 or even 15 schools, we will never keep all the south Florida talent home, but we do have high potential as an NIL and portal destination, while keeping enough of the local talent home to make a difference) What’s our new niche?

What was the consistent point of failure for the program over the last 15 years?

What dont fans know about the inherent difficulties Miami faces as a program?

How would you attack Bama as an OC/DC? How would you get inside their head, as a player?

Why isn’t Zo our Head of Football Ops?

Lastly, thank them both for picking UM and giving us some of the best years of our lives as fans.

Does anyone have any questions you’d like us to ask these legends? Post them here and we’ll do our best to include all of the appropriate ones.
1) Did Melvin Bratton ever try to influence his younger cousin, Geno Smith, to come to Miami during his recruiting process?
2) What kind of futures does Alonzo think Glenn Cook and Dan Morgan have in the NFL and why does he think so many former Canes have made good executives in the NFL?
3) If they were playing college football today, what positions do they think they'd be playing? Still running backs, or something different?
4) Why do noses "run", but feet "smell"?

Both dudes were funny, but you could tell that lying underneath, Alonzo was all business, not that Mel isn't, but why you wouldn't want Zo to be your AD is beyond me.

And when asked to predict the Miami/baga outcome, Zo was blowing no smoke, he said, talent isn't there yet and the team with more talent should win.

And he talked about UM admin lacking vision...

UM administration lacks vision??....Absolutely impossible.....Lol

I updated the OP with the link and some more info. We only had them for a limited amount of time and the show took on a life of it's own so we didn't get to too many questions but it's still a must listen.

We're going to try to get them back to let them tell the stories they didn't put on the 30 for 30.

Thank you! I haven't laughed that hard in a long time.
Right!!!

But that story about the recruit that ended up at nutre lame, because the guys didn't think he could hang in the locker room, was telling. Those Canes back then were just a different breed of player.

And the story about even the white guys being tough, was f'n classic.

Just great stuff.

Someone should produce a "30 for 30, the real story". That would be awesome. Looking forward to hearing from those guys again. And that app sounds really cool.

After hearing that, I really want to hear more of their stories. They're a couple of my favorite Canes.

Great show!

We're going try with every bone in our bodies to be the show where those stories get told. I can't imagine the stuff that's going to come out.

It's a real rags to riches story. Glad @k9cane could have an (early) chapter in it.
It’s the equivalent of early Oprah when she had midgets fighting on her show because they knocked up their cousins wife. Then she hit it big and could become a legit tv show.

What a perfect analogy. Expect a call to write the foreword for our autobiography.
