A thread to post bugs and feature requests only for the app by @Forumly. General discussion on the app can be found here.

Please limit this thread to bug reports and/or feature requests.

Would suggest the following format for each bug/feature report

Summary: [High level description of the issue]

Details: [Any supporting details needed to understand the issue]

Platform: iOS/iPadOS or Android

Status: [ New or Open or Resolved or Closed ]

New: still waiting for feedback from @Forumly on the request
Open: @Forumly has acknowledged the issue
Resolved: Issue has been fixed by @Forumly
Closed: For bugs, either working as designed or not a fault. For features, it won't be considered for a future release.

Feature Request #1

Summary: Ability to select font size.

Details: Font is a fixed size. Would be nice to increase/decrease size of the font used in threads.

Platform: iPadOS and Android

Status: Open (confirmed it could be considered in a future version by @Forumly here).

Feature Request #2

Summary: Option to view posts inline like we can with desktop.

Details: Right now all you see is a link and not the actual post. @Forumly mentioned in the main thread that this was originally reported by @Gru

Status : Open (confirmed it is an issue by @Forumly here).

Bug #1

Summary: YouTube links with time offset show "Video Unavailable".

Details: only seeing this on my Pixel 7 Pro (Android). iPad Pro (m4) shows the YouTube link without a problem.

Feature Request #3

Summary: More granular control over notifications.

Details: I'd like notifications when someone quotes or replies to me or sends a message, but I'd prefer not to get notifications for likes.

Platform: iPadOS and Android

Status: Closed (Not A Fault)

Push notifications can be configured in site settings.

Summary: Thread navigation controls at the top of the page on Android like they are for my iPad.

Details: Not sure if this is an Android/iOS difference or if its a phone/tablet difference but my iPad has options to jump to specific pages at both the top and bottom of threads but Android only has them on the bottom of the page.

Details: At the bottom of the screen, there is a bright white text entry box. Would be nice if the entry box was also dark mode friendly.

so notifications work the same as "alerts". if you go to your preferences you can decide which ones you want there.

nice catch, that should be in android. The apps are both coded in their native languages and we have a unique code base for each one vs having a react native one code base type of situation so occasionally we mess up making tickets for each feature on both platforms.

Summary: Please offer a search option on every page

Details: The search icon is only present on certain pages. If you want to search, you often have to navigate back multiple levels.

Summary: Tapping on a notification should bring you to the post in question.

Details: Most of the time, tapping on a notification just opens the app, it doesn't show me the post/event that generated the notification.
