Canes wins 10 games and Costal

I want to agreed with this but I don't see how you could of replace Hugo Delapinga, Fentress, Pierre, Goudis, McDermott. We lost to much.

Golden imo isn't capable of winning 10+ games...he's never done it and he certainly won't with our brutal schedule next year. Only coaches with elite Xs and Os or ones with a 'step on throat, f*** you' mentality can get that done. He is neither.

This, in my opinion of truth is what will be difficulty to handle for the Cane fan in 2015. We have new stadium, new player, but same old coaches staff. We will not reach the higher elevation need to win the coastal section without a change at the root of the snake I am afraid.

Strong point. The Delapinga loss will be the toughest to overcome. But I've heard major schematic changes are in order this season, and the firings of Franklin and Carroll and the hirings of Beard (our best coach) and Melvin (a guy we stole from the Super Bowl champs) should make up for the losses of the guys you mentioned.

On top of that, we were a few bad bounces away from winning 10 games last year. More talent + better coaching this year=Undefeated (or at worst 12-2)

My nickname for Al this year is "October's Own". Yes, Drake will need to let Al borrow his nickname for at least a year because if Al can somehow get out of the month of October no worse then 6-2..he just might save his job and get that ACC title game berth.

The talent level.... Kaaya and Yearby makes one of the better offenses in the ACC... The team didn't loose the last 4 game because of talent... The FSU game beat us all spiritually... and they couldn't recover... Defense of line is ready... I really think ACC Championship is a realistic in the next two season.

We have had the talent level to win 10 games and a ACC championship for many years. **** if WF, GT and VT can win this conference and win 10 games. No reason a program that lands far superior talent shouldn't have. Duke was even able to win 10 games.

Another thing, teams that quit over one heartbreak. Are not your typical team that will turn the corner and win 10 games nor the conference shortly after. They are programs that will shortly be making a coaching change.

The reason we have failed to reach 10 wins since 2003. Is coaching, plain and simple. We fold up shop way to easily. We are either quitting after we have them ropes. Or we are quitting when things look bleak. The staffs we have had cannot game plan or adjust. The players do not buy in enough to play 60 minutes.

We have the best QB we have had in some time. We have the best DL we have had in some time. Yet they will not be able to make up for the coaching. This team does not look like a team that is on the verge of making the turn to being back. It is still the same team that will pack it in. When any sign of adversary hits them.

Had they fought on after the FSU lost and finished strong. I might see somewhat of what you see.

Same thing i have been doing for the past few years...make a pledge at the end of the season... not to watch another UM game EVER... then Spring comes around and I'm back on board again.... knowing THIS year is going to be different.. Its been a vicious circle hear lately...its got to end..

Completely agree that we have the best QB and DL this year in a while and they are imo the 2 most important positions, it's the only difference to me worth monitoring
 
OP is right that we should win 10.
But we won't due to Sagtits McGrohlden

But the Admiral will replace Grohlden w a real coach
We will be a ten win team 2016
 
honestly tops is 7..really don't lie to yourself. hopefully the results are enough to get Al fired & bring in a new coach who has a clue.

Haha, love the optimism, but Yearby isn't better than Cook. Cook was forced into action and didn't have the luxury of coming off the bench fresh behind a quality back. That's generally considered a good thing, having someone like Duke in front of you. When Yearby would come in, he didn't give us a boost, heck....he was a MAJOR downgrade. He also goes down easier than Cook and lacks the explosion Cook has as well. Truthfully, Yearby is good out of the backfield, but other than that I'm very underwhelmed by him so far.
 
Watch.... Cook he got alot more reps in practice and in games...Yearby was the feature back at Central for a reason

Anyone saying Yearby is better than Cook is delusional enough to predict a 10 win season.

So that explains the rationale of this thread.

Look at Cooks YPC at Central compared to Yearby. there is a reason he was a 5 star recruit and Floridas Mr. football.
 
8-4 is my prediction. Ws coming from Bethune-Cookman, FAU, Cincinnati, VT, Duke, UVA, UNC, and Pitt.
6-6 would be my floor if Folden s**ts the bed versus UVA, Pitt, or Duke.
I could see a scenario where we go 10-2 honestly, it would take some good coaching (which we don't really have). However, I can see us beating Nebraska and GT. ****, we were a Duke Johnson fumble-6 away from beating NEB this season.

We also allowed 350 yards rushing to Nebraska since our coaches refuse to try anything different. Go on with your 10-2 pie in the sky mariconeria though.
