We usually try to get a Roan trip in at least once a year. Big Hump is where we like to setup. Fall can be tough keeping up with football. Gotta stay on the peaks with cell service.

Bradley Gap in the saddle between Little Hump and Hump Mtn is nice with views of both and always windy. Water source as well about 100 yds off trail. Knocking out the final 31 miles southbound in October from Neel Gap to Springer Mtn (southern terminus) then back to central VA to continue north toward the Shenadoahs.
