Laygway plays out of his mind. Beck has 2 picks. Gates 27-14

Part of me thinks it plays out like FSU last year. They drop 7 in coverage and make us go tuff and fyzical all day eating up clock on a bunch of 10+ play drives. My gut tells me it’s something like 28-6.

My brain tells me Napier isn’t that smart and has Lagway put the ball in the air 40+ times and has 2-3 picks. They don’t even try to establish a run beyond the 1st quarter. Beck goes for 300 + and 4 TDs and Lyle or Pringle breaks a big run. Brain tells me Canes 56 Gators 10.
Yes. I think Napier starts out trying to run. He won’t put Lagway out there right away.

You can't imagine the meltdown if we lose to a Gator team that is on life support. Over the years we have seen games like this. The other team comes in coming off a couple losses, only to right the ship against us. This would, possibly, be the worst situation for it to happen. Imagine going into Tallahassee ranked below FSU. It can't happen.

45-24, good guys.

We got closet gator fans on this board? There has been zero on field evidence we should lose this game? No.

Could we, sure? But the mental gymnastics to get there is embarrassing a man.

Mario deserves every bit of flack he will get if he somehow loses to this team.

41-13. Bigger beatdown than last season. Billy doesn't make it through Sunday.

What you got?
I don't think it's close.

Mario knows a big win pushes the Canes country recruiting line northward. A humiliating win now will make his recruiting life easier; possibly for years to come if UF decides to ****can Billy, they blow up the program and re-enter rebuilding mode for several years. Couple that with Gameday and ACC Network presence, it being a 7:30p national primetime game, the Gators locker room in chaos and the serious on-field talent gap? I expect the staff to absolutely release the fuggin' hounds to feast on these Gators.

Gators 9, Canes 48

After the game, I expect national media to disparage the win by saying the Gators were never that good--despite hyping up their defense all week.

I hope I'm wrong but there is so much optimism here and fans thinking the Canes will blow out the Gators. I hope you're all right but if the Gators don't make any big mistakes I see a very close game. GO CANES! Larry Bluestein just said this game will be the largest recruiting event ever for the U.
