Canes v Gators - Predict the Score & Billy's Doom

Repeat of the FSU game last year. Dominant but our offense struggles a bit and theres can't score.

36-14 canes

31 - 0

I think we tighten up on the defensive side and stop some of the longer plays we've given up to the previous three teams that put them into FG range/the red zone.

Beck (can't emphasize enough how much beating the Gators means for Beck) and the offense continue their surgical approach, moving the ball down the field, leaning heavily into the run game, and taking shots where available. If not Lofton, then someone in that TE room will end up with 3 or 4 catches while Marion and Toney EACH end up with around 70 yards receiving.

ND's defense is far more talented and better schemed than UF's, and Miami physically beat the runner-up National Champion. Miami's OL last year continuously punked Sapp and the UF DL, and I think that'll happen again Saturday night - Anez Cooper, I'm sure, has been licking his chops to face Sapp again.

Bain wasn't able to enjoy last year's *** beating, and I'm expecting him to live up to the national hype he's been receiving and show a national audience how much he hates the Gators. The guy will continue his destructive play, and Lagway will be in his sights.

Part of me thinks it plays out like FSU last year. They drop 7 in coverage and make us go tuff and fyzical all day eating up clock on a bunch of 10+ play drives. My gut tells me it’s something like 28-6.
I think this is where I am....their scores and lack of pressures makes me think that has been his plan all along this season.

The score is closer than we'd like but as long as we punch 1-2 of them in early it never really feels in doubt.

They will probably get 1-2 chunk plays. But just leave it at that and hopefully only 1 or none of them lead to touchdowns.

My brain tells me Napier isn’t that smart and has Lagway put the ball in the air 40+ times and has 2-3 picks. They don’t even try to establish a run beyond the 1st quarter. Beck goes for 300 + and 4 TDs and Lyle or Pringle breaks a big run. Brain tells me Canes 56 Gators 10.
I’ve had the same feeling as your first paragraph. Last year everyone thought we’d drag FSU 60-3. We ended up handling them, but they played pretty good defense and made us grind it out.

Everyone thinks we win big. I’d love to see it, but things never seem to go the way everyone predicts when it’s supposed to be a clear mauling.

I think it’s 27-17 Canes.
