Question of all the posters who who predict that we scored 35 points or more, how does Miami score so many points when we run a play clock down in 2 to 3 seconds every play
I think we unlocked the big play element last game vs FSU. In all reality we scored 35. Losing Toney’s TD killed that drive.

Most games going forward shouldn’t be as tight as previous weeks, so I wouldn’t be shocked to see us attack more vertically down field. More chunk plays, shorter drives, etc.

31-17 Good Guys.

Louisville’s defense keeps them in it for a bit but Miami makes enough explosive plays to put it out of reach.

This game could get uglier if Moss throws multiple picks but I’m leaning towards another ho-hum victory where we just look like the better team.

How did we put up 49 against USF?

My take:

-Louisville gets behind the sticks with their OL. Tend to have quick drives at times.
-Miller Moss is inconsistent with his throws and tends to sail the ball. Miami will likely get an INT at some point.
-Louisville's defense is aggressive at the LOS. Although it hasn't really bit them yet I don't think they've played a team that can take advantage of it. There will be stuff over the top like against FSU.

I see this playing out similar to FSU expect I don't think we'll take our foot off the gas this time.

Huh? We're averaging 68 plays a game.

Last year, we averaged 71.

So we're down about 4%.

The "problem" is not pace. It's efficiency. We averaged 7.56 yards every time we snapped the football last year. This year that number is 5.89. Over the course of a normal game, that's well over 100 yards of offense.

Be more efficient. Be more explosive. Problem solved.
