Even on that run, I’m sure there was a simple route tree, which is y even w time, the QBs r just holding on to the ball. No one can get open b/c the route tree is so elementary

Bad throw by Malik - no doubt bc other WRs were more open and he's telegraphing throws, so BC DB jumped it. We go from running 4 verts every other play to running 4 slants. No sluggo, shake or smash routes to get DBs to stop sitting on slants.

But let's not overlook the lack of effort by JT to finish his route and fight for that ball. Also bad.
