Reading all the "big plays" so far from 247 updates...

So far:
-Patrick Surtain is blanketing folks from the Safety spot, and got a nice PBU against 5* WR Terrance Marshall from the Corner spot.
-James Cook is destroying LB's in the passing reps.
-Jacob Copeland is creating the best separation out of any other WR's in the 1on1s.

1 reporter however, noted that both WR's/DB's are having a hard time with their cleats, alot of people slipping.

If Miami was to go hard at Asante, I think he would be ours to lose.

How many cbs are we taking in 18.Blades,Ivey,Campbell we seem to good for and frierson and Hall at safety. That's 5 Dbs with maybe room for 1 more and a ton of good ones local.

I think we take between 4 and 6 CBs. If we take 6 we could RS 1 or 2 and essentially act like they are 2019 commits, and taking 2-3 more cbs in 2019. And 3-4 Safeties in 2018 would be my expectation as well.

Also, Wouldn't be surprised to see Ryan Mayes, Terrence Henley, Robert Knowles, or Michael Jackson transfer in the next 2 years.

I'd expect 8 total DB commits in 2018.

I was thinking we wouldn't have room for him either if things "go well". Could end up taking 7 DB's in the class...

Frierson, Jobe, Blades, Ivey, and any elite CB that wants to get in between Campbell/Surtain/Etc. while taking 2 Safeties in Hall + another stud....its only going to be hard if no DB's leave between now, and 2018 NSD, which I doubt.

Surtain put out at top 5 and we weren't in it.
Are you surprised by this?

Pat Jr is a LSU lock, anything dealing with Miami coming from him is just trolling...

And to be perfectly honest, Tyson Campbell is 10x better imo than Pat Jr.

8 isn't happening, they're taking at least 5 this year

I expect some combination of Blades, Ivey, Frierson, Campbell, and Hall or Jobe

Wouldn't be surprised if Evan Neal ends up #1 overall for 2019.

Seen him in person and he is a MONSTER. Rare breed of human.

Him being coached at IMG and in IMG strength and conditioning program. Whew. One of rare types that could jump straight to NFL IMHO.

We need to take him IMO but the staff isn't recruiting him. I can see this situation going down like another skai moore deal where the recruit wanted go to Miami

Mostly safeties though. So far we have Bandy at CB and no one else (I expect Deejay to play WR). We might get Edwards, but he looks like a hybrid cb/s, but definitely is no sure thing. And Dean is the other guy we might get, and he's got 2 years I think? So yeah we are getting 5 DBs, but only 2 CBs - by the time the 2018 class gets on campus we will only have 2 underclassman cbs on the roster.
And I don't know about you but I'm not going to pass up asante samuel because terrence henley is currently on the roster. If it were up to me, those guys would get pushed out in place of more 2018 signees. I think these freshman would make a bigger impact than Henley, Jackson, Mayes would as seniors tbh.

Mistake of the 2018 class... I'm calling it now. Not going after Asante from the jump. The kid is a baller
