Canes sign QB Dereon Coleman, a premium arm talent

I think Nickel is unplayable unfortunately. As is Anderson. After Mensah, Coleman might be the second best QB on the team. Maybe third best after Mali. I sure hope we can get another stud transfer next year so Coleman can get over 195 lbs and put on some muscle.

It’s the rumor that he throws too many picks in practice. Hope it’s not true or correctable.

After recently rewatching both luke and coleman film recently, id comfortably say luke is way better

I was low on luke and high on Coleman but its the opposite for me now. Id be comfortable with Luke eventually starting if he had coleman arm talent

Coleman arm talent and playmaking ability is nice but thats just a bonus to me, he doesn’t seem to process well, you see alot of hesitation and misses on his tape. Maybe and hopefully we can develop him because he has the talent

My concern with luke was idk if he has the baseline arm talent you need for a college qb but he has everything else and maybe the other attributes can mask what he lacks in arm talent in college

Neither probably ever wins the starting job here because we might recruit someone better or just go into the portal like we have been

Interesting take after re-looking at their tape. The good thing about it is, I believe Mario will play the QB who puts him in the best position to succeed. But, you definitely have me re-thinking this competition.

Curious to see how his body changes after a full off season in college. Long arms I’m sure he can easily add 10 pounds of muscle if he locks in
