Canes open as TD favorite vs GT

Home game after two “big” wins… FSU next week, yeah this is the type of game we lose.

Agree with everyone about the D, so this will definitely be a close game. I’d actually guess the score will look very similar to the last couple of weeks… 35-33, 38-35 type of score.

Considering we are basically operating on a coin flip, might just be tails this week.

Hopefully we get the W. Just hard to get behind this team too much. It’s like a self preservation thing. I’m afraid to care too much for fear of feeling like I care more than the coaches and admin…

I might start to drink the cool aid if we came out and worked these guys

FWIW- reading through their threads on the Va Tech game this past weekend...

- their OL is a big problem with their secondary close behind. As a point of reference, Pitt beat them 52-21.

They don't commit many penalties - average around 40 yds per game - but last week they were hit with a few personal fouls and racked up almost 80 yards worth of penalties.

They don't move the ball with consistent dinking and dunking, but create big plays which go for 30-40 yards each. Sims and Gibbs are the whole team. They use Gibbs as a receiver, too.

The aren't feeling too good about the game with the Canes...

This team going into a game as favourite?

Here We Go Eye Roll GIF
I feel we have and excellent chance in beating them and ruining their season.

We’ve been performing well against great odds , I have total confidence in them winning out the rest of the season and playing in a nice Bowl game.

GOCANES

Playing as a favorite after a couple of upsets is a different kind of test, and one Miami has had a hard time with for a long time now. IMO if TVD keeps his head down and doesn't start getting too invested in his own hype this week, we will be OK - something like 34-24 Canes I think.

This is Manny’s big chance to prove he worthy to be called a mid-tier coach, and slightly better than mediocre. I think he comes through. 31-24 Canes. Let’s get this 🙌🏼

Knowing how we tackle this game will be a dogfight. Gibbs is really f'ing good and will be a nightmare for our LB's. They also throw to him a bunch.

Get ready for the GT crossing routes.
Can TVDinner play both ways? LB.

Yep. They have no receiver talent whatsoever.

Simms can be a problem and so can Gibbs.

Just don’t see how GT has the horses to hang with us even if we play a sloppy game. We’d have to have 3-4 turnovers for it to be close.

But it’s manny and Miami. Anything can happen
