4 things you have to love about this young man
1. Hits hard when the opportunity presents, but knows when to just make the tackle
2. Fights off blocks
3. He uses his hands and has actual moves (so many highlights are just a d-ends beating out matched high school tackles with speed)
4. he has just the right amount of attitude.

Ok....I just watched his film and first off kudos to actually showing more than pass rushing highlights. He’s not your typical high school de that wants to get to the qb but isn’t about that run stopping life. He gets in their and gets dirty with the run game , takes on ol head up. That shows me he’s willing and actually sticks to assignments.

Second he has a great get off and a good repertoire of pass rushing moves. Uses his hands really well.

The physicality and run stopping caught me off guard but impressive. He’d eat in this system , perfect fit.

Pops this as perfect of a marriage for a system / player then you’ll find.

Just watched his film..perfect fit. Idk about a every down DE. But definitely a pass rush specialist off the edge. Trent Harris 2.0🤷🏾‍♂️
I have to respectfully disagree. I saw a young man who took on blockers, shed them or used a couple great moves to get by. He looked good against the run as well as the pass. I know he isn't that big but he plays big.

Just read the MS. State board. Seems like the fans are really sad to see him go which bodes well for us.

@TroyI know I asked about weight earlier but what about Height and Length, do you think he could get to 6'4?

He plays big at the HS level..that shows he has a motor and that dog in him which is great..but at this level the length and size of Olinemen down and down out..idk how he projects against that..saying he’s Trent Harris 2.0 is not a knock..Trent put up a great Sr season in this system and plays on Sunday

4 things I look for when evaluating DL. This kid checks all of those boxes for me.
1. Get off/ Violent hands
2. Motor (can't stop, won't stop)
3. Speed
4. Strength/Violence (He will knock u on yo ***)

Wrapping a bow around the package to this kids game, is Passion or Love of the game! The way he plays, you can tell his heart is there. He is not content with just doing his job. He has a burning desire to get to the ball carrier... and bringing as much pain as possible. Guys, THIS is the what a Cane DL looks like.

Some college coaches want too play him at linebacker and let him blitz on the outside with that speed
I think we’ll use him in a similar way. We’re 4-3 but we sometimes stand our guys up and use them in flat coverage as well. Our whole defense is based on being a Swiss Army knife of sorts.
