Canes O vs USF D

Watching their game against Southern Miss now. Even less impressed than I was against Bama. I think this could be a big Martinez game, those linebackers really shoot downhill and I could see him setting that up to cut back on them when they overcommit.

Also, Southern Miss should’ve been up 21-7, missed a wide open tight end and two plays later fumbled and USF scored to tie it at 14. Refs also did some work for USF in this one so far. Absolute hose job on a USF touchdown that had zero business counting.

The RPO flats to Arroyo, Lofton, etc could be big in this one as well to test their eye discipline, because it seems suspect.

Not worried about this game at all, usf is a step up from who we have played but its a bad matchup for them, bama was a better matchup for them but we should shread them
 
Everything Cam and this offense does well is everything that USF is trash at. In addition everything at USF try’s to do offensively is everything that this defense dominates at. If this team executes and limit penalties, this should be another game that we see the backups by late 3rd quarter.

I am expecting another 300+ yard, 4 TD game for Cam and more much needed development for the young guys.

The very first time Martinez comes off the field they put lyle and fletcher together. Cam gave the ball to Lyle and Fletcher was his lead blocker.
 
They like to run which we are good at defending, they can’t stop the pass to save their lives which we are also good at.

Dominate in the trenches, protect the football (USF is good at creating turnovers), play disciplined ball/limit penalties, and don't take them lightly.

Their Secondary is absolute garbage.

Looks like a DVD run crew. Their CB's play over 60% of their snaps in off coverage, free releases all over the field & they DO NOT cover the seams. They set their Safeties back in 2-High deep in order to protect their Corners & leave the middle of the field wide open.

Restrepo & Arroyo will EAT. Whoever gets the Boundary side matchup with De'Shawn Rucker should have at least 2TD's, he's the mark.

Dawson's Creek must be salivating watching their film this week. There's so many passing lanes wide open all over the field. Block up those delayed Blitzes & this Secondary is SCREWED.

This should be another 600+yd game of Offense, easy.

We’re a horrible matchup for them, maybe this kinda **** works vs bama(plus turnovers) but our normal offense is the counter vs their normal defense
 
hopefully we can figure out how to guard slot WR's before we play better competition
