Thing with Ross is i believe he's a hybrid not a pure LB he will be a rush end/LB so if we take a hybrid i'd like it to be him we don't have one atm.

Okay seriously, we don't need any more LB's in this class. They are going to make some of the guys we already have decommit.

Go after some dam CB's, Safeties, Rb's, and DL....literally any other position but LB, QB, and OL. we got enough at those positions. And if its a wr they get to commit, it better be Salomon, Pinder, or Victor..

Watch his tape guys. There isn't a **** thing on there beside edge rushing. He will not be competing for minutes with shaq, mccloud or pinckney. He is going to come in and fill the same role as mike smith and terry mccray, which is sit on the bench until it is your turn to get a handful of reps a game because your a lb with no other skill set than beating a tackle around the corner.

If anything, he is a pass rushing specialist that will get some 3rd down reps in year 3 (4 after a redshirt).

I would rather pass.

I'm fine with the LB class, but if they are looking to take 1 more. Just give me one of Donovan Thompson or Lawrence Graham.

Alexy Jean-Baptiste is a tweener so I'm a bit iffy there as he wasn't as big as I thought he would measure in at the opening. He's actually a little smaller than Gil. Both the same type of prospect so if we were to take a tweener. Just take one of them.

Emmett Rice. He's still very very very raw and my major concern is if he can keep speed while adding weight.

Rice might run a little tiny bit faster than McCloud which is only by .08

But Rice weighs 188 and McCloud weighs 220. That's a 32 pound difference.

I feel both are the same type of prospect but McCloud is better, more polished and bigger already and proven to keep speed while adding weight.

I feel if we were to add another one. I would prefer it to be Thompson or Graham. Both pure football players, polished and just a tad little undersized BUT Graham had one of the highest sparq scores at the Miami Opening and Thompson led Dade with almost 170 tackles and had 56 in a three game span against nationally ranked teams.

I would also monitor Joshua Uche's senior season and how well he does. His measurables were very impressive at his size for a linebacker. While I wouldn't take him yet. A big senior season would change my mind. He's still raw but he has some tools.

I like the group we have in Gil(LB/S), McCloud, Pinckney, Quarterman and Simmons.

I see:

1 Mike - Quarterman
2 SAM's - McCloud and Simmons
2 Will's - Gil and Pinckney

*Yes I think Gil is a linebacker in college. I find him too stiff to play DB at the next level.*

I always said, max we should take is 6 for 2016.

Again. If they feel another is needed. Give me one of Thompson or Graham and close up shop.

Or if they want to pass on those two cause they happen to be an inch or two short. Go after Uche pending his senior season. He will have the size they would covet and speed.

Another thing I'll mention. Simmons has been more dominant than Rice in the camp settings and I liked Simmons tape over Rice's before as well. I was just intrigued by Rice's size. The take of Simmons over Rice. Looking back on it, I prefer Simmons and another reason to it, because I feel McCloud is same prospect as Rice but McCloud is better, more polished and bigger at this same stage.

Simmons I feel gives some versatility too. Because he could play DE if he happens to outgrow LB or doesn't pan out at LB.

Rice there is questions on if he can keep his speed while adding weight and he's a tweener type who plays on the line and some at LB and his size would be a major question to even consider being a DE.

Is his father the former cowboy RB?

I remember that guy, If that is his father. He was one of the top RB in Fla when he came out of HS. Originally committed to or signed with F$U! Things didn't work out there. Ended up at Valdosta State U., in GA. I actually had a class or two with him there. Cool dude.
