WR looks good. It is DT that has me worried. The is the essential position at Miami.

At a recent seven-on-seven tryout for Burch Sports Performance in Jacksonville, Payton was wearing Florida State gloves. When asked about the Seminoles, he talked about the recent coaching shakeup in Tallahassee and what it means to him.

“What I really want to see, and I know it now, is that it’s going to be a big wide receiver school, I just know it is,” Payton told GN. “Other than that, I just want to see what else they’re going to do on offense, see how they’re going to produce.”

Payton also discussed his recent visit to Gainesville. The Gators are another program that he has been interested in. He admitted that although he has yet to have any contact with new head coach Dan Mullen or his staff, Payton wants to wait and see what happens to their offense moving forward, and in particular, their quarterback position.

Now, despite whatever mutual interest Payton shares with Florida State and Florida, Miami are well ahead of the pack in his recruitment. Besides his unofficial visit, Payton was recently visited by tight ends coach Todd Hartley.

“Miami, they’ve been on me,” Payton said. “I feel like that’s a pretty decent school, I like what they’re trying to produce and that they’ve been playing a lot of freshmen.”

Payton’s high ranking and skill set will give him every opportunity to play early when he gets to college. To achieve that dream, Payton will have to finish his high school career the way he started it. His senior season will come with a lot of expectations, something that Payton is well aware of.

“What it means to me is that every game, every time I come out and go to work, I’ve got to put my A-game on,” Payton said. “Lace my shoes up and go ball, that’s it.

That's my point. Losing him to his alma mater and hometown team is understandable but I'll be ****ed if it came down to money...

Remember how they said Richt couldn't recruit wrs???.... We have to be patient and let things unfold, we all just ready for another natty
 
This is gonna be like the old days where every single thread will have minimum 10 posts about DTs, no matter what the actual thread is about. As if no updates/information should be posted unless it's about a DT...? Or we should stop recruiting other positions until we have as many DTs as you see fit? This is great news..
