Canes impressed me OL hats off

If Searles doesn't improve by the end of this year I might been in favor of firing him after this season. He gets an F or at best a D- so far.

Na don't fire Searles after one year, guy needs a break, he's coaching jags al signed. Plus ol is that position you can't really coach up like the others, you either have it or you don't. And our current OL don't have what it takes

You know how I know the OL was good?

549 yards of total offense

That's always a pretty good indication of an offensive line's performance. ASU committed a bunch of people to the box and we punished them outside and down field for it.

Job well done. We ran enough to keep em honest and threw the ball to score.

Running for TD's inside the 10 is for great offensive lines. We are not that and it's okay.

We have 3 guards all competing to play LT...

Trevor Darling, Danny Isidora, Nick Linder would make an above average interior. If we had Navaugn Donaldson (for RT) and Calvin Ashley/Alex Leatherwood (for LT) it would be a scary OLine. But instead, we have our 2nd / 3rd best guards starting, and our best guard playing LT, while our strong but uncoordinated Odogwu is managing RT.

People don't know how much lacking True and GOOD Tackles are hurting our line overall. It's not just that 1 position that suffers.

It's the equivolent to having an above average DE who can also stop the run...You put kick him inside cuz ur true DT/NT sucks and he does enough to hold the position down, but you now miss a starting DE and have to play someone who isn't as talented in the hole he left. The **** trickles down

Richt's play calling helped get drives going. App St. sold out against the run and that's why he kept hitting them with bubble screens. The O-line still needs work and they're the one until that needs a lot of work. But it's not all gloom and doom.
 
OL had a good game today without a doubt. unfortunately its probably got a lot to do with App St having an undersized DL.

Im not sure how good GTechs DL is, but that game will mainly be a test on our DL and young LBs. We really wont know what our OL is made of until FSU unfortunately.

Good point on AS pulling the running backs down from behind. I thought Yearby looked very slow today but I think he was looking for open gaps and then he gets jerked down from behind. Run game was not there for most of the game. We need the 2 week break.

Clearly our fans like to drink and do so heavily during our games. OL isn't elite, and there are things to improve on, but they did their job today.
