I'm cool with people wearing the number. I kind of hate when they retire numbers......we know a savage wore it that's all we need to know. I hate the fact Yanks don't have single digits to wear.....sucks *** imo

I've been saying the same thing for years. I'm OK with the number being worn. I'm sick of dudes like Gurvan or Armstrong just getting it without earning it. There should be a few numbers at Miami you have to earn, and are reserved for guys that are Junior or Seniors and have shown they deserve it.

Agreed. You’ve got 85 scholarship guys plus walk-ons in college football. You can’t retire numbers. It’s bad enough that they let guys wear the same number now. I miss the days when you had to wear 38 as a freshman because the good numbers had to be earned.

Even in pro sports, retiring numbers is getting stupid because nobody plays for one team for a long time anymore. A guy like Dan Marino or Derek Jeter, I get it. They played for one team their whole career. But is Lebron’s number going to get retired by three different teams? I mean Shaq ended his career after playing for six different teams. Are the Suns retiring his jersey?

26 got that rep for me 20 52....but more recent yea 15 is pretty good the last two seasons. If u have three trash 15s in a row it loses its luster imo. 26 that can never lose luster in my eyes

1, 15, 20, 26, 44 and 52 on D for me. Gotta earn those numbers IMO.
