CANES games on days other than Saturday?

If I'm not mistaken...Didn't we long ago play most of our games on Friday night? If so, not sure why that changed...

*home games

Checked back 50 years to the 1975 season out of curiosity.

Four home games on Fridays: Oklahoma, Colorado, Houston and Navy.

The other two home games — Notre Dame and UF — were on Saturdays.

Worth noting perhaps that the Dolphins were at home only two of the four weekends UM played on Friday. Kind of assumed that would've been a major part of the decision, but maybe not?

With no bye weeks left, the extra day of rest afterwards sounds nice for the team, except we just came off a bye, so that makes it kind of worthless. From an exposure and ratings standpoint (check us out BIG) it’s pretty important!

I like a Friday game as long as it doesn’t shorten up a week of practice. This one, after a bye week, gives them an extra day of recovery against the next team (not too worried about Stanford, but if it were a real team, the extra day would be a benefit).

Love Friday night lights.

Plus, being a college football junkie I get to watch all the other games on Saturday.
Seconded.

Plus, my son's game isn't until noon Saturday (usually in the AM), so no conflict for me this weekend. We have a bunch of Bama parents on the team so I've enjoyed trash talking them about their FSU loss all season.

this team should be chomping at the bit to get out there and play against Loserville.. The Cards will be ready, will it matter? just like everyone else we play the rest of Conference play. The boys have a bullseye. this is the time for this team to really sharpen their swords.

Hate*, cant even convince myself to watch football today. Nothing worse than losing on a Friday night.
