Canes Camp Day 2

Watching some of the video interviews from yesterday and SMD makes me want to jump out of a ****ing window with her stupid questions.

Yearby: "It's just a faster tempo..."
SMD: "Does that help in any way?"

Assuming the drills are indicative of the actual depth cart, Rosier looks to be the number 2 QB ...

The Grace situation still has me worried, hopefully him and AQM are outright cleared

FBs were loafing in that lead drill. They'd take 3 steps toward the LOS and then start jogging as the RB ran past them.

Guessing they're assumed to have hit somebody by then. It was nice to see them hitting Williams out of the backfield. I can't wait to see that first collision with a DB.

Go hard all the way. Assume nothing. Your FB should be a motivational blood and guts guy. If he's loafing kick him to the curb.

If he misses time McCloud steps in. The 3 freshman seem like they are all mature beyond their years. They will be enough to beat our first three opponents.

Any info on who might backup Darling at Lt? Also what kind of blocking scheme will oline use, man or zone(or does more "I" formation automatically mean more man)?

No. I formation, or any formation with a FB, doesn't mean an automatic blocking scheme. You can use a FB and run a zone bocking scheme or a power/man scheme.

Its actually a lot better to zone block with a FB because it causes less clutter. Imagine having to block down, pull a guard, and have the fullback seal. Your RB would have to have the patience of Walter Payton.

Gray "looks" the part of a stud RB in these drills. I really hope the RB position starts to click with him under the new staff, and his athleticism can translate to production.

Gray should be playing soccer. He looks like a soccer player.

Only way we'll see Gray is if a couple guys get hurt. He'd have to get a shot the way Damian Berry did several years ago when he was buried on the depth chart at RB.
