Even with the ’Canes heading into regional play tomorrow, Miami has been busy in the transfer portal for the 2026 season as they’ve landed FIU Senior first-baseman Brylan West.

An imposing figure at 6’4, 230 pounds, West has been a consistent power bat for the Panthers at first base. For the past two years at FIU he received all-conference recognition batting over .330 with double-digit homers.

Even while being a power bat, West gets on base at a nice clip and...

Had a slump there where he was 1-12 vs Miami and FAU but broke out of it with a 2-4 game w/ 2HR's vs FAU's Sunday starter. 8-for-18 vs. Miami MW starters.

A year ago 3-for-13 vs ND (4 game series), 2-for-11 vs FAU, 3-for-9 vs Miami, 0-for-11 vs Dallas Baptist

Going to give the pitcher this look after sending a 3-2 meatball down the middle about 450 feet.

Cole is a great kid. My son was the bat boy for his summer league team last year (PBX). Why do you ask about him? Would love to see him slide to Miami
I admit i only watched him vs us, but i call him the cane killa to my sons cuz kid just always did damage against us, especially in clutch moments. Saw that he’s a FR, so figured he’d be a nice addition from the portal.

Same here I just watched the games vs. Miami but I was impressed. He was 4-4 and 1-3 against us the last two games out of the 9 hole. He ended up at .291 with 5 homers and was 13/14 in stolen bases which is good numbers for a freshman. Much better than anything we had in the bottom of the lineup.

He is a really good kid. Always took the time to interact with my son and the other batboy and thank them. Like Hugas and Marsh, the kid is a devout Christian and wears it on his sleeve. Regardless of what people think, that isn’t a bad thing in a lockeroom or being an ambassador for your university.

It is interesting what "fans" attack. We see it on the football board regarding a previous student athlete and social media... posting about eating right, working out, praying and their brands isn't alpha enough for some of our fanbase...
