Canes back in the mix for 5-star DT Taylor

It would make sense that a dude that big that moves like that would be good. We should’ve offered Heavy D back in the day. Canes with another miss!!! Smdh!!

One of his dancers in this vid is T.Roy, who tragically died and would go on to inspire Mt. Rushmore Hip Hop song They Reminsce Over You (T.R.O.Y.) Good pull.

You wanna talk about a meltdown....

If they go 0 for at Palmetto it will be the greatest thing I’ve ever seen. Avantae Williams and Jacorey Brooks x159870877000. One of those mfs might drive to Gainesville and try to hurt Mullen.
It’s gonna be glorious

I think the gambling odds tell you a lot about the position of a program. Just because a team won 10 games one year, it has little bearing on the next year because so much can change in the offseason. A team could have huge attrition or staff changes, so the W/L total of a previous year is mostly irrelevant. The over/under win total for UF in 2020 is 10. The over/under win total for UM in 2020 is 9. Thats only a one game difference. And despite your slobbering over the mighty SEC East, the overall strength of schedule for both programs is almost the same: UF's schedule is ranked #61, Miami's schedule is ranked #65.

But wait- there's more. That 9 game win projection for Miami was released BEFORE our OL situation improved significantly. Now Miami has Walker (which also weakens UF) and could add another instant starter on OL if Williams transfers from Houston. If that happens, then Miami has addressed its major weakness- the OL. So I'm not being a homer when I say UM's and UF's programs are in just about the same position right now. The sportsbooks happen to agree with me.

Confirmation Bias at its finest.

Confirmation Bias at its finest.

I don't think you actually understand the meaning of confirmation bias.

The state of a program can be reasonably inferred by the win/loss projections. Pretty much everyone (except you, apparently) agrees on that point. You are saying that the 10 and 11 win seasons, coaching quality, etc should be factored into the analysis. I agree. And all that is already factored into the sportsbook win/loss projections for 2020.

If a team that won 10 games in 2018 and 11 games in 2019 is projected to win 5 games in 2020, I doubt anyone (but you) would say that program is in "good shape" despite the record in the prior years. Clearly there is an issue in that program .

Well, despite UFs success and supposed edge in coaching, they are projected to win only 1 more game than Miami in 2020. As far as I know, since the odds came out in April, UF hasn't had any notable additions (to coaching or roster). They have had a big loss in a 4 star OT that transferred to Miami. On the other hand, Miami has improved significantly since the odds were released- adding the aforementioned tackle and leading the race to add a 2nd starter. Miami is projected to win the ACC coastal. UF is projected to win the SEC East. I dont think UM is better than UF right now, but I do think they are on almost equal footing. If you disagree with that assessment , feel free to plead your case to the casinos and tell them to lower Miamis odds. If that number goes down (say it becomes a 2 game difference between the teams), let me know and I'll readily concede the argument. Until then, the facts are on my side.

Both of you had those comments. I know I raised Hova. I think between the Hova debacle with Wilcoxson and then when Brashad Smith decommitted, you stopped hearing about Savion Collins and now with the rumblings with Taylor - Something’s definitely happened. I know I asked @Goulds Cane if he heard anything but I can’t recall the response.

Never believed UF would get all 5 of the Palmetto recruits. Especially Taylor and Marshall. UF is the school that Florida recruits, who are pretty dead set on playing in the SEC, troll and use as bait. Taylor probably ends up at UGA and Marshall at Bama/Clemson. The rest are realistic options, just hoping we keep Collins.

They at least won 6 games in a row and have something to sell, whether it’s real or not. We couldn’t get a first down in our bowl game and you want to act like it takes a 3-peat.... we can’t beat FIU. it would be great if we were realistic about our team and stopped blaming other teams or some greater conspiracy or local kids

Bro as bad as that Fiu loss was losing to Ga state is worse. FIU would beat Ga state

Miami bags.jpg

I'm just curious to know if UM has any bags. This board has always accused other programs of paying their athletes. I'm curious to know if we've ever been accused of bags (besides Luke). All of the Pro athletes the U has produced and we've never put up any bags??? I find that hard to believe, and yes I've been a U fan since 87. No trolling, Just a serious question.

Everytime I check this thread, I hope we're back in the mix for 5 star DT Taylor. **** you.
I don’t care if he lists us as his favorite and wears canes boxers, chancletas, tube socks, laniards, bracelet, visits, pitches a tent on greens tree or commits. I’ll believe he’s a cane when he plays a game in orange and green. Other than that he’s just another kid waiting to play for the kkklansmen.
