Cancel the ND game

Why is it that when the game is in ******* Miami it's in August, but when it is in INDIANA it's in ******* November? Does the ACC not give a **** whatsoever? Put it in Miami near end of year and if at beginning in ******* Indiana.. This is the type of **** that the ACC is so brainless about.

Literally, what can they do? I’m literally asking that.

/ I don’t think they can do squat
Miami isn’t gonna get into a legal war with ACC for a game they need to generate $. Stop thinking like a fan and look at it from a business perspective.

Agreeing to play them up in South Bend in November is just an idiotic idea to start with.

I wish people would lean some "recency effect" lessons from the CFP this year, and be happy that we are playing a big game in November.

You all got some weird logic on here.

What we should want is TWO ways to get in - win the ACCCG and get in without that. If we don't make the ACCCG, it's because we have in conference losses. That means out of conference wins must be big.

Ask yourself if we'd even be in the conversation this year without that ND win. Answer: no. If we lose 2 out of conference games, we can still win the ACC.

Unless you think we can't win the ACC, in which case, what are we doing here?

It cuts both ways. f you replace ND on our resume with win over Tulsa or the like, I don't think we are even in the conversation.
What does it matter they arent putting us in? If they don’t, obviously the best chance we have is to schedule cupcake and try to win conference

Keep ND on the schedule next year and run the ACC table (haven't been able to do that in 20 years). Win or loss at Notre Dame they will consider that a "Good Lost".

This year if instead we lost to ND and won 1 vs either Louisville or SMU we would be deciding our fate this weekend..

Got news for you, even with the ND win if we went 11-1 we would be on the bubble. Look at BYU. Many of you are looking at this through an emotional lens. This is about conference revenue. The ACC is seen as a G5 conference as is the Big 12. The committee has 5 spots they have to fill with AQs. That means 7 at large. 4-5 of those at large spots will be filled by the SEC and another 2-3 for the Big10. The only chance we have to get in is by winning the ACC. That is it. There is no benefit to playing anyone with a pulse OOC. We could have 4 top 10 wins and they would argue against it.

Bama has a loss to a 5 win FSU and a bad home loss to a propped up OU. They have 2 top 25 wins. One against UGA and one against Vandy who has 1 win against a +.500 team (8-4 Tennessee). Bama was moved up after the last month of losing to OU, winning by 7 against 4 win SC, beating an FCS school, and winning by 7 after getting carried across the finish line by team SEC against 5 win coachless Auburn. As I said we could be 11-1 and they would put Bama ahead of us. They moved Bama ahead of us last year after they lost to 6-6 OU and we lost to 10 win Syracuse.

Our only hope to make the CFP is to go undefeated every year and/or win our conference. As I said there is no discernible benefit to playing anyone with a pulse as team espn/Fox will discard the win as insignificant compared to whatever patsy the SEC/Big lined up.
If we were 11-1 we would be solidly in as an at large. No question.

There is no benefit to playing that game. The committee moved Alabama ahead a spot after struggling to beat a 5 win team without a head coach. We throttle a top 25 team by 4 TDs on the road and do not move a spot. This has nothing to do with resume and everything to do with revenue. ESPN and Fox pay the bills. We are in a G5 conference at this point. Until we get out of it our only chance is to win it and get an automatic qualifier.

just like Bama cancelled their games-

UM should cancel Notre Dame and every other P4 game

put in MAC schools and focus on winning the ACC until we get out.

let the NCAA and ESPN be left with broadcasting "Indiana versus Ball State" and "Georgia versus Georgia Southern" for three straight weeks.

Not just us.. but BIG10 and ACC as a whole should stop playing them and force em Into a conference.

Replace them with Texas tech or another big12 team

And move these games to the end of the season
We should keep the game, but we definitely need to move a couple of our OOC games to the back end of the season

We need to get more conference games in before mid season and we need those "data point" games at the end of the season

As a fan, I don't want to see more G5 games. I want to see us play good teams and stomp them.

Miami isn’t gonna get into a legal war with ACC for a game they need to generate $. Stop thinking like a fan and look at it from a business perspective.
I am trying to be objective. I just don’t know how you consider the ACC to be some intimidating legal force. I think they are a dog in his last days ready to be put down. Their bite just doesn’t scare. My opinion.

The solution: ND-Miami independently agree to play-in game.

I POSTED THIS THE SECOND WEEK OF THE SEASON THIS YEAR…..

“DON’T STRESS THE “AT LARGE BID” BS….IF 0-1 ND CAN MOVE UP A SPOT FROM 9 TO 8 ON A FU@KIN’ BI-WEEK…BEING 0-2 NOW, THEY’RE SURE TO STILL BE IN THE TOP 10 WHEN THE POLLS COME OUT NEXT WEEK 🙄

IF WE GET PHUCKED OUT OF THE PLAYOFFS AFTER A HEAD TO HEAD WIN, THE LAST THING I WOULD WANT TO DO IS TAKE THEM OFF THE SCHEDULE…ONLY BECAUSE THAT’S A BLOOD BATH BEATING THEY WILL HAVE COMING TO THEM…FOR SURE
