can we win the national title THIS YEAR?

Young players have got to get to the point where everything comes natural for them. In other words, where they don't have to write the plays down on the wristband before they go out on the field. We've got to get to the point where, when a call is made, the defense lets it fly. If we can do that I think we can have a lot of success.

ok i will admit my standards are a bit high

but i grew up in the late 80s and early 90s, that is what i want canes football to be again, it may never happen but a man can dream
 
MD, I think we all want Miami to be "back" again but I think most people realize that it'd not going to happen overnight. Yeah, the team's got some talent and they finally have a coaching staff that's not the laughing stock of college football but expecting an 8-5 team to go undefeated and win the title in the new staff's first year is a bit unreasonable, no? The team's been mediocre for over a decade. Maybe give Richt a year before we start going crazy with title expectations?

i know, i do believe we can be really good next year, and i do think we have close to as much talent as clemson did last year when they played bama

can the offense become dominant like clemsons offense? that depends on how richt and crew can coach up kaaya.

by no means do i believe we are the most talented team in the country, but i DO believe, if we can beat ND and FSU, we should be able to run the table

is it likely? no, but its not that crazy when you think about it

other than FSU, who do we play that has more talent than us?

ND will be a difficult game, but its winnable, and UNC is replacing a QB, not saying they wont be good, but they should take a step back from last years success

i may have earned the reputation of a crazy homer or a troll with unrealistic expectations. but when you look at it, our schedule isnt that bad

it all depends on if we can stay healthy in the secondary and on the O line, and if manny diaz and the defensive staff can de-goldenize our players and teach them proper technique with a good scheme and playcalling

i still firmly believe, that as fans of miami, we should not be happy with anything short of a title

and the mods can ban me or whatever, i wont back down from that stance...

We all want them to win, but you have to be realistic at the same time. This team as of now has too many holes and young guys. Now a trip to the ACCCG is possible

We have realistically improved our coaching staff. We can realistically get through the season without any major injuries. We can realistically get through the season with a much improved O. Line. We can realistically get through the season with a much improved D. Line. We can realistically play solid in the secondary with 3 seniors and sophomore...and more.

We can realistically win a NC in 2016.
