Can we win the Coastal with any of the 3 QB's?

How can it be any worse than 51% completion percentage 2154 yards 19tds 14 ints. We are talking all time lows in Miami modern football era. From 2012-2017(6 seasons) Miami passed for 3000 yards or more. Last year was just an anomaly period and won’t happen again
It can’t get worse. National media knows less about this program than the dumbest posters on here do.

Lol, we just went through a season where we only passed for 225 yards or more in 1 game vs power 5 opponents which was the first game of the season... you fix the passing game alone and Miami wins 10 plus last year. There’s no reason miami shouldn’t be more successful this year with a better oc, playcaller and qb play

Makes sense. It HAS to be better......Then again, been saying this since Radio

I feel More comfortable with him there than a true freshman at least for game 1. Scaife has the ability to play at left tackle
Scaife is a future 1st rounder. UM fans are dead asleep on this guy because they’re just so used to parroting the mantra that our OL sucks. It shouldn’t suck given the material we have. Competent OC changes all this goofy handwringing about our OL.

Let’s summarize. One poster says if we can’t win Coastal then Diaz may not be who we think he is. Another poster says if we don’t win coastal then Enos may not be who we think it is. Typical responses by “entitled” Canes fans who pull trigger if THEY feel team, coaches and players not performing up to THEIR standards. How did Jimmy Johnson do in his first year hear?
fans wanted to run him out of town just like butch from 97-99.and especially after the Washington loss in 2000.

I don’t think it matters who wins the QB job Miami should win the coastal. On paper we have far more talent up and down the roster than anyone in the coastal. I’m more concerned with this being Diaz first year as head coach and how he handles adversity because there will be some. If the offense can sustain a few drives and pick up some third downs that alone puts us ahead of last year. Will we lose a game because we’re young or inexperienced I think maybe. But, Virginia or anyone else in the division shouldn’t be able to compete with us no matter who’s at QB.

Just hope our punter as good as anticipated. Ave field position alone cost us some games last year.
I hope so too, but if he can’t kick it, let that big ******* run the ***king ball. He’d still get more yards than we got on kicks last year.

If our most consistently accurate and polished QB can perform under pressure live, we will be difficult to stop

Miami is not lacking in talent at oline, there are multiple blue chip recruits in the starting lineup , just as it’s a new outlook for the the skill positions, same thing should be given to the oline. We don’t have a uga type of line where you can be simplistic and try to play smash mouth football and just out talent you . You have to put ALL of your players in the situation that gives them the best chance to win as that pertains to scheming, play calling , using motions, being unpredictable. Etc Richt didn’t understand and certainly didn’t do that

Exactly. Our O-line was mismanaged and not developed because Searles was a **** bag of a coach. Talent wasn't the problem. IT was developing it.

Yes but if we see bad Perry against UF or UVA that could ruin the undefeated regular season chances.

Anyways not only is the premise of OP's question dumb but the wording is even dumber. "Can X win the Coastal" is an irrelevant question. Anything can happen even if it's low probability. The wording should read "should" or "would" not "can".

We should be able to win this shytbag division with you at QB. Stank *** Pitt won it last year. It’s the sorriest division in P5. If Enos can’t get one of the three 4 star QBs ready to win this ****, then he’s not who I thought he was.
you are spot on

He was forced to keep most of Howard’s staff and they quit on him. For my money so:did the team after the first two games which they played for themselves. First year was not his fault. Now year two and three where his fault. He go out coached in back to back bowl games for NCs. If Manny gets us to NC games, I’ll be fine if he chokes — he is less experience than JJ. But not winning the sad *** Coastal should always mean fired. It should be in the contract.
