There has been a lot of positives surrounding The U football team in the last few months since the announcement of Al Golden's firing. The outlook of the team on the field and the excitement of change has created a positive energy we haven't experienced in some time. Our focus should turn from the 2 children that chose to go play elsewhere and focus on the the many positives we have going in our favor:

1a. Al Golden was fired
1b. Dorito was fired
2. We have a high quality HC and OC.
3. We have one of the best DL coaches in college football
4. We have a better evaluation and recruiting process
5. We have a high quality DC
6. We have, for the first time in 5 years, an expectation of being good on the defensive side
7. We expect to have better interior DL play with Norton, McIntosh, Moten, Court Jenkins, Gerald Willis and on occasion Chad Thomas
8. We have realistically some of the top DE talent in college football. Thomas, AQ, Willis, D. Jackson, T. Harris & (J. Jackson 16)
9. Though thin in numbers and with new defensive scheme we solid at LB. Grace, Owens, Young, Gaeot, Perry, Gordinier, Mike Smith
and the versatile T Harris. Of course 1 of Pinckney, SQ and McCloud
10. An aggressive attacking defensive scheme should allow us to get by with lack of depth and big time CB's. We should get solid play
out of Elder, Redwine & Michael Jackson with support from J. Johnson and Malek Young(depth issue).
11. Safety we have very talented players in J. Johnson, Carter, Jenkins and TBD Knowles. C. Wright and R. Finley are x factors-Depth ?
12. We can be very good on offense if the online plays at an 8.5 or better. Hopefully new OL and OC coaches bring up to this level.
13. We got a very good to elite rotation of WR's in Coley, Cager, Richards and Bruce. Berrios, Lewis and Langham have to fight.
14. Very solid stable of RB's that I expect will excel under new RB coach and offensive scheme. Yearby, Walton, Edwards, Tucker and
Gray
15. Same situation at QB. New OC and scheme! Kayaa, Sheriffs, and Rosier. Allison redshirts, add weight, muscle and Learn!

Forgot about TE. Set there with Njoku, Herndon, Dobard and ? Washington

The third phase of the game should be improved.
We have both our kicker and punter returning.
I expect coverage and return teams to be much more disciplined and explosive too.

AND The absolute steal with the signing of Jeff James at Safety.

I get wood just knowing that we finally have competent coordinators on both sides of the ball. Im thinking 2003 was the last time we could say that.

Twelve ******* years of incompetent coordinators on one (or both) sides of the ball. That can only be explained with these three words:

donna ******* ****lala.
