How is this relevant? Records don't mean you begin the game with 20 points. My point is that he knew they ran the triple option prior to playing them and they still hung 45 on him. He can bounce back from this but can I say he's ready to leap from Memphis to Miami I'm not sure, I'd take Herman over him atm let's see when they play head to head.
It's relevant because Navy is a well coached team in it's own right. A team that exceeds expectations every year under Niumatalolo. In 8 season he has won 8 or more games 6 times and is one game away from doing it for the 7th. Navy in it's 1st season in the AAC could be crowd conference champs.
Maybe we should include navy's coach in our head coaching search. Fuente had zero answers for what was happening on the field, not trying to belittle him but there has to be some settlement to losing by 20+ regardless of opponent. I don't feel like this defines Fuente as a coach but I also think we need a coach who's further along than losing games by 20+ and yes I do know it happens to most coaches.
You want a coach that isn't getting smacked by 20 point losses. You better look to the Alabama era Saban. One of the few guys that it isn't happening too. Patterson just took a 20 point *** beating. You think he has no clue how to run a defense?
I wonder how LSU slept at nights knowing they hired Saban who got blown out 2 times his final season at Michigan St by 20 plus points. He had 9 more 20 plus losses at Michigan St in his tenure. Happened 4 more times at LSU as well. Did he have answers in those games?
Fuente got beat and it happens all the time. He got beat by a guy that is pretty good at coaching a team that runs a dinosaur offense.
