Can Richt keep this team together?

Concerned this team may begin to split along offense/defense side of the ball. It's clear the defense save 1 game has played at an elite level. Even in a loss, they only surrendered 16 points. The offense clearly lacks any accountability to the success of the team. It's been mentioned that Diaz had to tell Richt don't score on the final FSU drive ahead 28-27. That wasn't just to protect UM's defense, Diaz didn't want UM's struggling kick coverage unit taking the field in a 1 possession game.

Is this just conjecture on your part, or a legitimate source i.e. Manny himself made this statement?

who wouldn't wanna play defense at miami?

as bad as the offense is you're promised to get LOADS more playing time. That means LOADS more tackles, pbu's, INT's, snaps, TFL's

load that stat sheet up for the NFL!

that's my recruiting pitch, can I work for miami since i'm a nobody with no qualifications?

I could see a players only meeting led by the D. Willis and J. Johnson standing up and requiring accountability from the O. No need for Coaches.

Every year in baseball or football there is a guy who comes out of nowhere midseason and lights it up, then suddenly turns to garbage the next season. Why? Because teams don't have film or scouting reports on the guy. As soon as they do, they solve the player, and unless he adjusts it's all over for him. What happened with Rick? Teams figured out how to time his fastball. That's the only pitch he knows, so it's over.
Holy $h*t this is accurate

I don't see any issues on the defensive side. They will ball..

But on the offensive side, if Malik continues as QB, there could be trouble.... a bunch young playmakers frustrated because old Malik can't throw the ball...

It's a shame that Diaz is no longer having faith in the other areas of coaching on this team beside his defense. To go to the HC and voice his lack of confidence is very telling.

But to answer your question, Richt can only save this team and keep it together if he makes some major changes on the offensive side of the ball! ST will just have to work itself out! But the OF is of the most pressing need right now. A new OC and or a new breath of life miraculously injected into the play calling could help boost this teams moral and possibly save this team from totally tanking! Will any of it happen? We just have to sit and wait.
