The kid is in his dorm room. Single on 9th floor of Pentland. Picture of IPF from the Wellness Center side and picture of Lake Osceola. This campus rivals anybody's in the nation.

****, I have multiple former UM classmates whose kids are starting UM this year and moving into the Towers (apparently, all freshmen have to start out in the Towers now).

.

We keep saying but the don’t listen!!!
And It ain’t even done test.
Wait till college game day comes down this year.

having been on the campus a few times since 2000, its amazing how it's evolved to what it is now. It's a great looking place, who wouldn't want to go to school there?

Miami keeps fighting this perception of where the campus actually lies and what it really is for whatever reason

Having 2 sons who are/have attending school there, I can vouch for how truly amazing it is. It's a major university within a resort setting....Good thing Family Weekend this year is FSU.
Go Canes!

Was the same for my son. FSU, OB SHockey catch, missed kick, hotter than ****,ran out of water, louder than ****. Can't beat it.

Don't forget what College gameday last year did for the school as well. Not only did it remind everyone that UM is a country club setting right in the middle of a major US city, but it drove student applications through the roof for weeks after that event.

we have the largest incoming freshman class in the history of the school this year of 3000+. that's what a good football program does to schools despite what the stuffy academics here will tell you.

Negative recruiters will keep trying to paint a picture of a dangerous campus in a dangerous neighborhood when the only real concern for injury would be falling palm fronds.

Is that true? I was wondering when it would be - last I checked it wasn't confirmed. Two years ago it was the FSU game, too. Makes sense from the schedule that it would be that weekend.

Yes, the towers with the over flow going into Eaton. those towers won't be around that much longer - they are slated to go in the last phase of the housing revamp. (2022ish I think) Sad - those towers are part of the iconic UM campus picture

Yes - 100%. They actually ran out of football tickets for Family Registration within the first week, so there were some upset parents. Rumors are they just made some more available though.

Hecht and especially Pentland always had the hottest chicks from what I remember. I got shafted by being in the other towers haha

Did a college fair in the the epicenter SloOhio Suckeyeland, C'"brokendown"bus and I actually had a fool parent tell me Coral Gables was a "really bad area." I think it was for his kid's consumption, he wanted to make sure they went to 500 student lectures at O$Uck.

In Cincy, there were MIL, uh Moms, who were dragging there kids over to the table to get them to get literature...Must have been from Kentucky.
