cam ward's leading receiver ran a 4.89

So much overreaction for what I think is true as well. X was a great college receiver. He doesn't have the athletic profile pro teams look for. You guys can spit out some aberrations, but for the most part, WRs who don't have the bare minimum of athletic traits don't make it. The same line of thinking can apply to positions as a whole as well. To me, running backs have so much more value in the college game. An elite talent can make a difference. In the NFL, an UFA can make just as big an impact as a highly drafted RB. (LOL at TWO Notre Dame RBs going in the first round.)

To sum it up, I agree OP. Cam Ward doing what he did without a top-end talent like a Jeremiah Smith (who makes Sayin look good when I honestly think he isn't) was special. X was a great college receiver, but doesn't have the athletic make-up to have the same impact in the league. Doesn't mean I don't appreciate his time at the U.

Not sure if serious. I haven't followed what they've done this offseason with their OL. They won't win many games if that doesn't get fixed. Their D wasn't terrible in 2024 or the beginning of last season. But injuries ruined it. They need to stay healthy to have a chance.

They signed Austin Deculus, Cordell Volson & Austin Scholttmann

They also signed, Wan'Dale Robinson to be their Slot WR & signed KJ Osborn for depth in their WR corps.

They also bolstered their Secondary signing 3 very good CB's in Alontae Taylor, Cordale Flott & Joshua Williams.

With what they added from the draft, they have enough to make a wildcard run to the playoffs this season.

Those OL seem uninspired to me. Is Volson fully healthy? I am just a fair weather Titans fan based on Cam. But on the surface, I don't see two depth pieces and a guy with serious injury history as being nearly enough to protect Cam.
