Miami Hurricanes quarterback Cam Ward has signed a deal with Under Armour before the 2025 NFL Draft. The deal would mark the first No. 1 pick for Under Armour since Auburn’s Cam Newton in the year 2011.

The West Columbia, Texas native has rewritten Miami’s record books by setting new single-season records for both passing touchdowns and passing yards.

The West Columbia, Texas native has rewritten Miami’s record books by setting new single-season records for both passing touchdowns and passing yards.

Ward is also the first Hurricane to achieve seven consecutive 300-yard passing games. The 6-foot-2, 223-pound quarterback has thrown for over 300 yards and recorded three touchdowns on nine different occasions.

With Ward, Miami boasted one of the top offense among all FBS programs. The Hurricanes rank top nationally in scoring offense (44.7), total offense (541.5), yards per play (7.4), first downs (301), and third down conversion rate (56.6).

Ward has played a key role in helping Miami achieve a 10-1 record for the first time since 2017.
