Cam Ward drafted by the Tennessee Titans with the No. 1 pick in the 2025 NFL Draft

Everyone says we waisted Cam Ward last year but I dont think we did. We won 10 games with one of the worst defenses ive ever seen at miami and not one starting wr was selected in the NFL draft. We definitely maximized the Cam ward experience because im not so sure we win 7 games last year without him. No doubt in my mind this guy is going to do great things for the Titans
I know that as Americans we like round numbers, but what exactly does winning 10 games signify?

Unfortunately it didn't amount to much, All they had to do was hold on to a 21-0 lead and You can make a strong case that they win a shootout against SMU and whatever happens after that is gravy

When you think about the guys who have played QB here at a high level and to know Cam had a better individual single season than any of them. The others were just fortunate enough to play with coaches who put together a defense with a pulse albeit out of their control, that absolutely impacted how their seasons went and how they are viewed. A slightly above mediocre defense and we make a deep playoff run. We 1000% were supposed to get more out of last year’s team and to say anything else is disingenuous

It signified that it was the best we had been in 7 seasons.

We only played 13 games last year & won 10 of'em. That's good considering the 2 previous seasons beforehand.

Obviously, we didn't win the ACC or make the playoffs, but relatively speaking it was an accomplishment for us because it's something that we don't do often.

Now if we were a Championship contending caliber team, if wouldn't have meant anything, but unfortunately we're not anymore.

So anytime we do something that we haven't been doing over the last 20+ years, then it will probably be celebrated & noted, even if it necessarily shouldn't.

It was a fun season that ended in disappointment. Most of our seasons in recent history are unfun & end in disappointment, so it's simply a matter of which one you'd rather witness.

I'll take going 10-3, rather than 5-7/6-6/7-5 any day.

Also, there's a very real possibility we'll never see anything like that again offensively, so again it's all relative to what perspective you choose to look at it from.

I was more disappointed after last season than the previous 2 because in 2022 and 2023, I never had a chance to get my hopes up. I have already started to come to terms with everything else you wrote, mope! But relatively speaking their is nothing about 10 wins that is significant other than it being a round number. If we build off that this year with a championship (conference of course) then I may revise my thoughts.

You didn't get excited then when we were 4-0 with a solid ein over TAMU? Then disappointed with the win over GT...

Everything just depends on what people’s expectations are. I think our fanbase is still stuck on our glory days subconsciously, any small glimpse of high level football they think we’re back to being elite

Maximizing the Cam Ward experience would mean a trip to the CFP, not 10 wins and the pop tart bowl
