Cam Ward drafted by the Tennessee Titans with the No. 1 pick in the 2025 NFL Draft

Though if you remove all Qb decisions out of the conversation, the Giants have a pretty solid foundation for the future. Problem is now you're committed to at least 3 years of Dart. Which I don't even dislike all that much. If they could have sat and he fell to their 2nd rounder it would have been better, but they really didn't trade much to ensure they got him... I mean I think the Giants really need a WR2 and TE still. But their DLine should be elite. But as often is the case the QB decision is by far the most important. People give the Giants so much **** for letting Saquon walk, but I'd spend that money on marginally better Olineman and roll into next season Tracy, Skattebo, Singletary every time personally... I think paying an Elite Rb is more the cherry on top after you already have a good or better QB and Oline.

Same with the Browns. The Browns GM legit built a pretty good to great roster the last couple years. But the QB decision was dog**** - especially the contract they gave him. But was that on the GM or the Owner to push that trade and contract?!.

only thing I agree with out of that is the elite rb is a cherry on top. Overall gettleman shouldn't have even drafted saquan. But to not understand who it is that carried that offense in the minimal ways it was and to be that out of touch with reality that you give saquan **** while giving Daniel Jones an extension because you didn't even bother to not only draft a back up QB but more importantly not even scout one as a free agent is absurd. The Giants are a broken franchise and Jackson dart is an average band aid to get them to the next wasted decision. He won't even get a chance to play an amount of time that gives you any clue of an informed decision on if he should be retained or not as anything more than another back up. This ****** moron by signing grab em by the ***** and the tranny lover has done nothing but give them a year to fool their moronic fan base again into the misconception that they are on the right path and save both their jobs... (Which they don't deserve) Tracy is a back up at best. Skattabo I'm intrigued by but realistically speaking he's a short yardage back at best. The NFL is not college. Wr is Slayton & naybors & if you're really desperate Robinson. Slayton is far better than **** ever get credit for until you start seeing actual QB play. Tight ends is trash and that's generous. Honestly I don't even see what would make you say the d line is so great. Realistically speaking you have Lawrence who is a monster and nothing else at tackle. At edge you have an abundance of talent with one man on the outside looking in who should be a franchise player but hasn't developed that way. At linebacker you have one player who has actual talent and doesn't get much credit for it well the rest of the room is pretty basic. Corner you have a bunch of overrated over the hill trash. Safety I can't even think who that safety. Realistically speaking I'd say that franchise is easily 5 years away from being anywhere near where it can contend even in the NFC East let alone for a championship. But hopefully I'm wrong. Maybe Jackson dart will get back to where he was in his USC days rather than the old **** days. I don't think people understand how dumbed down Lane kiffin's offense is. And he still would struggle in that offense to make some relatively basic reads plenty often. My own thought he regressed significantly from the path he was on with USC and to what he's become now. But maybe I'm wrong.

I mean I wasn't saying they had a top 10 roster. I just said a solid foundation, which I absolutely think it is.
Oline should be average at least imo. And Idc what anyone says most coaches would love to walk into a rebuilding team whose DLine is Lawrence, Abdul Carter, Brian Burns, Kayvon Thibodeaux, and Darius Alexander. Thats a lot of talent. Sure it's not complete but its much better than most. Yall just signed Jevon Holland at Safety, who is objectively good. Tyler Nubin was a rookie last year and played quite well imo. Was good against the run but struggled in coverage - but that was actually where he shined in college, so I expect him to improve a lot over time.
I like Slayton, but he's a WR3 ideally imo. I think Nabor+Slayton+And another top WR pick next year would look real nice. I don't even mind Wandale Robinson and Hyatt but that's WR4/5 type at best. Like I said I agree about TE. Though Theo Johnson IS incredibly athletic. If he ended up being a useful weapon I wouldn't be shocked. To Me offensively WR2 and TE are the clear top needs apart from figuring out QB1 (already drafted) and continuing to invest in OLine. Then you look at LB... I mean I just don't value LB as much, and if you have 1 good LB, I think that's all you need/should actually invest in securing in todays NFL... So I guess to me the top needs are CB, TE, WR2, then Continued investment in OLine .... out of non-Qb concerns. JMO

Yes, yes they were. I’m have a visceral dislike of Golden because of his Al Golden Camps, attempt to jump to Pedo State and refusal to fire Dorito. But he was hosed from the outset by the NCAA and Shalala. Never had a chance to win the recruits Bama, Clemson, LSU and FSU under Jimbo wanted. Auburn was bagging guys like Carlton Davis back then too. “It’s a business decision” was code for Miami has no bag money.

Eh it’s a business man. Either Restrepo earns it on his own with his talent and work ethic or he won’t imo. Can’t put it on Cam. Unless you just mean their connection is already so good that it’s going to naturally make him standout and outperform the comp…. But again I’d argue that’s him just being more talented/skilled…

I'm just saying their familiarity will benefit X man. X man is a udfa and might have been ignored by a different qb looking to win a starting job. I'd think the best thing for any wr trying to make a squad would be a qb that knows him, has him paced, and will look for him when other's might not be open because he's so used to him being open. Better passes and more targets will help X show his stuff no?
 


On Cam:

On the Saturday of the team’s rookie minicamp weekend, which ran from May 9 to 11, coaches started filtering into the building during the 5 a.m. hour and noticed an occupied meeting room. In there, Ward had gathered the rookie skill-position players. As the coaches popped by, they asked what the guys were doing so early. It turned out, they were going over the script for the day and watching tape, with Ward himself running the show.

It wasn’t a one-off situation, either. Every day the Titans have had a practice since, either in Phase II or through OTAs, Ward and the rookie receivers, tight ends and backs are in there, bright and early, to set the table for what’s ahead.

It’s a pretty good sign that the Titans hit on the football makeup piece of their evaluation on Ward, and also that he’s taking some of the instruction he’s gotten, both predraft and postdraft, from Tennessee’s coaches to heart.

One specific piece of it stems from Ward’s 30 visit to Nashville during the draft process. What the Titans found was that Ward really knew football, but he just hadn’t honed the ability to talk the game the same way he saw it. For example, he would know when he was “hot”—football parlance for when an offense has more rushers coming for the quarterback than it has guys in to block them—and was able to anticipate it based on the look, he just couldn’t fully explain why.

So the Titans knew before they drafted him that they’d be able to build a language for him to relay to his teammates what he was seeing. He could decode what a defense was doing to him in his head, but it was just a matter of going through the process of doing that.

In a way, those meetings, where Ward leads the room, were his own way of working to put that new language to work and get his own practice at using it. Of course, it’s not the only way the challenge is being attacked in Nashville. He also has a meeting with coaches every morning where the staff puts one protection in, going through the rules and the what-ifs in-depth on each one. In the afternoons, the coaches have him run another meeting with the rookies to give him full ownership of what they’re teaching.

This is a great lesson for Dawson and Beck - it's been said that Beck has a high football IQ. Can he explain what he sees in "football terms"? So much to be taken from this that can help Dawson and the QB room at Miami, IMO. Get those skill guys in the room with the QBs and everyone learn!
