Cam Vaughn commits

We doubt this because we don't want it to happen, but now Moore is WR 4 again next year. I am excited about him and hope he stays and love the pick ups of Jacobs and Vaughn, but there are a lot of guys in that room who are going to want to play.
Then they should out work and out perform the other players. Not get something handed to them.

The staff loves josh moore too they believe in him and upshaw
I heard ya and trust mario..
But if we had that much confidence in Upshaw and Moore (which I am), and you already have Toney and Wingo, man I would have rolled the dice on Coleman if I could have. We don’t always rotate a lot at WR (last year we didnt at all and this year I think was an anomaly).

Toney is in the slot, Vaughn is the outside threat, Jacobs is the Marion/George role. That makes three.

Is it possible Moore beats them out? Of course. But he is probably No. 4 as it stands today.
These type of posts are ridiculous. Are we just supposed to have three potentially good WRs, 2 potentially good RBs, and on and on?

A kid has to work to beat out other quality players at his position. That's the way it is at every program, not just here.

And that doesn't even consider that injuries happen.

I believe in spending and focusing inside out. Wr is all about production, like money ball. I can go get two guys who’ll likely out play one guy together for less money . I want to spend on qb’s, protecting the qb and getting to the qb. This year’s team is the perfect example of what I’ve been preaching for years. Great trenches opens up everything. Why spend 3-4 million on a wr like smith when you can add 5-6 good starters for that? It makes no sense in a world there’s not endless money. More good players on a roster versus one great player with solid players.
And you allocate the big single acquisition to QB

That room is going to be dangerous,” Vaughn said. “Who are you going to double-team in this room? Who are you going to contain with this run game and all these weapons?

Wasn't sure about this one at first but then I watched his tape a few times and I think we got a steal. He put up respectable numbers in a crap offensive with rotating bad QBs. Good luck putting your 3rd best corner on him.

Do we think Barake and Toney are the obvious 2 starters and then it is Vaugh vs Moore for that third spot?

Yea I would imagine so. We'll go 3 wide a ton so 2 and 3 should be pretty intechnagable and being that Mensah already has experience with Barkate you have to imagine he's the #2 option. Moore will be battling Jacobs for #4 I believe. Jacobs will be the fastest WR I believe though so maybe he gets the #3 nod but it's hard for me to imagine Vaughn not on the filed with the 1s. Its an embareassment of riches.

After hearing Mario talk about Moore in a recent interview I think it's his job to loose as #3. Either way i expect to see Vaughn and Moore to get PLENTY of pt this season.

Yeah I guess like cribby said above me if we see more 10 personnel and more air raid concepts then I like you slot in Jacobs as 1 of the 4 and its still Vaughn and Moore battling for that last spot. Like you said good problem to have and I do hope we see more 10 but my fear is they will try to run lofton into the ground and he will be on the field a ton unless one of the young tes step up.

I think some of this may depend on the OL as well. If they arent as confident in the top 5 then I think they try to force more 11 just to have the extra blocker there as well.

11 personnel is the base set these days. Vaughn , Toney and Barake. I expect much more 10 personnel this year than previous years.

I'll be curious if we'll see much more 20/21 personnel as well (over 12).
