Cam Harris

You assume that there isn’t much a drop off between the person with the penalty and their substitute.
Good point. When he takes out Wiggins/Pope.... Few enters the game....

And players have been removed for a few plays, talked to, not yelled at up and down, and put back in...

Seems like most people only want Manny to show flip off the handle negative emotion... like that emotion is the missing link between 6-7 and being Clemson..

You might not care how many WR's are available, but you should think about what it says about the WR's who don't see much action behind these guys instead.

Fans are so dumb at times. Know what happens when players make mistakes, they get pulled off the field sometimes. Sometimes they're left out there to make up for their mistakes. Every case and person is different. Some need to get pulled, to settle down. Some need to stay out there, their own will makes them want to make up for it.

Our great Andre Johnson used to drop a lot of passes and immediately after being drafted, the Texans realized he had some eyesight issues. We sure didn't sit him much, he was the type that wanted to make up for it.

Pope, he frustrates me. Roche, that was a bull**** penalty.

Coaches want to win, they play those who they think will facilitate that. Pulling someone, that's a situational thing based on how players are as competitors.
You got banned

Chaney ought to get more touches. He is always moving the ball when called. He needs to be left in the game longer before being pulled. To me, he is the best back.
He doesn't get nearly enough burn. He is the best combination of size and speed that we have, and he even with his minimal touches he produces. Also rarely ever losses yards.

He has the best vision and what I like to call in the hole wiggle of any of our backs. Cam lacks vision and wiggle altogether. Knighton has good wiggle in the open field, he seems **** bent on running guys over in the open field for reason though, but I'm not sure about his vision either. Bottom line is Chaney is our most natural back.

Cam had high expectations for himself this year and so did we. I can understand his frustration but he should have kept his feelings in house and addressed those feelings with the coaches.

I would say that there isn't one back that is so much better that they deserve to be the starter.

I would also say that Cam is by far, the best blocker at the position.

People make mistakes and say stupid things. It's been two weeks, maybe he paid his penance and has been nothing but ideal since then.

People love to take things and add them to their agenda. You don't like Manny, have such a strong opinion on his leadership and you don't even see it in action. Cool post.

Definitely not.
For all his muscles, he blocks soft as baby ****. I've seen him get obliterated several times this year.

NC State gave us that 3-4 Tite Front that a lot of teams have been using to shutdown Inside Zone. That's one of the reasons they struggled to generate a pass rush on many plays as well. (only rushing 3)
The few successful runs that we had last night were outside.

Defenses are **** bent on shutting down our Inside Zone runs because we were KILLING PEOPLE early in the season with them. And we have 3 RB's that can make big plays once they squeeze through the backdoor.

It's gonna be tough for any of our RB's to generate yards until we (1) upgrade the OL and (2) diversify our running game.
There's no point in being hard on any of our RB's. There's nowhere to run.

I wouldn't be so hard on Cam.
He's a **** good RB.
None of our RB's have been able to generate yards lately. There's no room to run.

This slow developing inside zone isn't what Cam does best. He's better with a head of steam.

I can't beat on him much because although his stats have been awful the last 4 games, the Oline and run play calls have been awful......and without him, that UAB score would be much closer and we might not beat Louisville.

Inside Zone is a down-hill run that's designed to get North/South almost immediately.

What other run scheme is more "down-hill" than Inside Zone?
We don't run the I-formation.
I don't know what run play you want Lashlee to call that's going to give Cam a head of steam.

Pistol - with a running start. Inside zone, stretch, etc like we see with some other teams.

Our inside zone scheme is so **** slow the RBs are almost coming to a complete stop as they take the ball....and by the time they start running again, a guy is in their face because of poor run blocking. It's not working and Cam is not a stop/start guy. He can jump cut in the hole but if he doesn't get moving first he struggles.

pretty corny post that got progressively cornier as you went on. I dont have an agenda, i dont hate manny at all. Im saying Cam did the opposite of earning more snaps but because he came out and cried about it, Manny and Co. gave him some hush snaps. that **** aint happening on a great team.
We are not a great team. You know that.

Whether it's pistol or gun, the depth of the handoff is relatively the same. Neither alignment is going to give the RB any more or less head of steam. Whether a RB hits the hole fast or slow largely depends on the blocking scheme. Zone blocking schemes require a second to develop.

Cam has excelled on Inside Zone during his entire career, even dating back to high school. His biggest runs have come on Inside Zone.

That's not why he/we are struggling to run the ball.
