Calvin Russell- only top 75 player to choose a dumpster fire

The reason he chose that dumpster fire is because in reality, Russell actually isn’t a very good wide receiver. This is the perfect example of people getting lost in the measurables and not what the player actually does on the field. As of right now, he’s not even a wide receiver, he has a lot to learn to even become that.

Stop acting like UM loses all these recruiting battles. There are definitely kids who remove themselves from consideration after seeing how UM practices and seeing the type of player Mario recruits. The guys we have are total dogs who will scrap and claw for playing time. While still supporting their teammates. It is not for everyone and I am convinced it is not for Matthews, and was not for Russell.

You do know he ruptured his achilles, right? Kid is like 7-8 months removed from that injury.

I get what you are saying overall but are you really basing it off him not getting snaps yet coming off an achilles injury? I wouldnt even rush to play this season but Im sure nil and such demand it..

Didn’t know about the Achilles. I’m deleting my post because it is completely off base after learning about this and unfair to the kid.
