Agreed. Even with the varying level of prospects from year to year, Miami needs to establish that they get the best one down here each year

Same. Very athletic, super high ceiling but doesn't look physically ready to play and route running will need work too. He isn't in the same SoFLA WR1 class from recent years: Jeremiah, Ridley, AR87, Jeudy, Cooper. This kid isn't in that stratusphere

Yeah but we need the best to turn out right for us. Like when the best leave. They turn out just right and then we have to continually hear. We gotta keep that kind of talent home .

He’s absolutely not overrated.

He’s just not Jeremiah Smiff, which is fine, because nobody the **** is.

JJ was the #1 recruit in the country. This kid is 43rd right now. JJ was #1 because he was a literal can’t miss kid who was college ready, both body and skill wise, in 11th grade. This kid is not. He’s got a basketball body. So he’s ranked completely appropriately because he’s got an absurd ceiling, but he’s not a sure thing. You can’t just assume he’s going to develop physically. He likely will, hence the ranking. But some kids just…don’t.

If you put him on a P4 field right now, he’d struggle. If you put JJ on a P4 field in the summer before his senior year, he’d likely be the best player on it.

So he’s not overrated. He’s got a ceiling that’s the roof, but he needs development. Like 98% of HS recruits.

You cannot miss on this kid, period. He’s a legacy, at Northerwestern, with high round 1 athleticism. These are the kids we’ve missed for eons now. Get it done. There’s no sugar coating missing this kid. Get it the **** done.
 
Calvin is one helluva prospect with huge upside. As good as he is right now, he’s got so much more to learn. He’s far from a finished product. Not far fetched to think that under the right coach, he can very easily blossom into a 1st round pick.

P.S. Syracuse is the darkhorse here, especially if he decides to give hoops a shot at the next level

I dont see it with him, I don’t care about HS numbers I never go by that and I’m no cribby or gogeta orLCE…..but this dude looks slow asf. I think this is a guy who will under perform based on if they are saying he’s a 5 star.

Unless I’m completely off base here (won’t be the first or last time) one of those three people I named or someone else opinion that can make me see the light? He just looks like he will struggle to get separation at the college level. Unless someone can give me his speed numbers, and I might not even believe it if they said 4.5 and under.

I could be on meth though like @Confidence1000 said lol. I have said crazier **** and stupid things before where I look back and ask myself wtf was I on? Pause
 
Gonna get bodybagged by Syracuse for Hampton and Russell? I think we get Russell, but odd they have so much traction
