The CIS site is mostly (not all) a home for those who do nothing but complain and belittle. Reading many of the posts after the LSU game drove home the point that the haters, who claim to be UM fans, were giddy as they ravaged the football program from stem to stern.

After a UM loss, the number of posts appears to outnumber, by a wide margin, the posts after a UM win. That alone should tell you all you need to know.

It is clear that some are not in an earthly orbit when calling for the firings of Coach Richt and Coach Diaz. Our competitors have to be thrilled by our 'useful idiots' who are working overtime to destroy the program.

Employ your wildest imagination and try to visualize the catastrophic damage to the program if Coach Richt were fired. Recruits and their families would be afraid to sign on with the Canes knowing full and well the program has zero stability...and sanity! The media would have a field day shredding the program and knee-slapping laughing at us. Any coach of substance being offered the UM head coaching job after the firing of Coach Richt would think...these clowns need a net thrown over them and should be lobotomized?...the answer is not no. But, **** NO!!!

And those calling for the hiring of Butch Davis, why not Jimmie Johnson or Howard Schnellenberger? At least they won National Championships. The rich irony is, the mob (whose collective knowledge of the program could be fit on the head of a sewing needle), based on the early records of Schnellenberger, Johnson and yes Davis would have been howling for banner planes to fly to help fire those bums (in Davis's case they actually did!).

Now, I realize that the normal suspects will be down-voting this entry, along with the dumb, boring, etc. designations, not to mention the not terribly bright insults, but those actions do one thing...they prove my case. But where are the clowns--Send in the clowns--Don't bother, they're already here!

Good point, ETB. I think it is more a passion for us to be dominant right away. I was one of them. I am beginning to see it may take a couple more years than I initially thought it would. I complain a bit on here about the team and coaching, but it is more so because I want to see some changes made or at least tried. QB's, Jet Sweeps, Punters, OC, etc. Now, more than likely, CMR has forgot more about coaching than I will ever know, but there are times where he seems so **** stubborn and will not even consider these changes or is afraid to try them.
That is what ****es me off. I love the Cane and always will, but ****, let's try some things and see what happens. We can always change back.
I hope to see at least a few of these things today against SSU.
Go Canes!!

The Botch Davis stuff is ridiculous. What a boring waste of time.....it's useless spam on CIS

Quick question for you, Mr. Einstein...do you feel better after venting to a stranger on the internet? Don't get all balled up trying to author a retort, but after your speech today at the Brookings Institution please entertain all of us with yet another jewel of a response...I can't wait!

You did this same crap all last season. Long posts about nothing. I know you're a real fun person to be around in life.

Both side of the argument should be allowed to post whatever opinion they have of the program.

Why would anyone tell someone to stop thinking what they think?

Some ppl rather this be homerinsight.com

When you say I did the same crap last season, what you mean is I pointed out obvious situations where you and your kind squat on this site day and night moaning, groaning, whining, complaining about things you have no worldly idea what you are watching or talking about. Look at it this way...my post gives you one more thing to lather your hate on. You're welcome!

Here is the thing. Regardless of wether you like or dislike Mark, his coaching experience come from two places, FSU and UGA. Both showed tolerance for long serving coaches to continue to fail in the cruicial games that cost them NCs. Bowden would neve have lasted all those years before he was finally basically given and piety NC(the second one was deserved). UGA didn’t even know what a title was so Mark got a very run with nothing to show. He cannot help but be tainted by that. He thinks he has time but he doesn’t. This year’s upcoming recruiting class shows that.

If he does not get he *** in gear and make whatever chances will get results, regardless of his own thinking, he will be gone in two or three years. He needs to be a different Mark, because the old Mark just does not cut it. Maybe all this heat from fans so quick will wake him up to the fact that he is not some great success story by Miami standards. JJ did not bring the wishbone with him to Miami. Mark did bring his offense and it sucks. Many did the same thing, although he talks running Miami defense, in truth it is his failed Manny defense.

It is not the fans complaining about Mark that threaten his success, it is the echo camber of supporters who continue to pat him on the back and tell him his is doing good. We were on the verge on it all happening last year including monster fan response that turned the Rock into the old OB for ND on prime time. Did he grab that and drive it home, no. Instead we sit here with four nasty beat downs in a row. There will be no repeat of last years excellent recruiting class. Heck the early signing period saved that one. Aside from one great DT and a lucky surprise DT, who did Mark close on in February? LSU was the biggest game of Mark life and he didn’t even notice. That is the problem.

I never believed there would be a quick turn around when Richt was hired. He came into a program that had been mediocre at best for over 16 years.

JJ followed Schnelly. Erickson followed JJ. Butch came into a disaster and it took him a couple of years or so to right the ship.

Richt had to re-establish relationships with HS's that had been almost irreparably damaged by the previous inept regimes. He had to create depth that had long been lost to inept recruiting in a much different atmosphere than 15-20 years ago (social media).

First season for Richt - 9 wins. Second season - first 10 win season since '04 and first Coastal championship. I believe that was a little ahead of schedule considering all that had to be overcome.

And many positive things off the field. Obviously, the IPF. Improved training and nutrition programs and facilities, etc.

Has it been perfect? Hardly. I'm trying to be cautiously optimistic mainly due to the slow but steady improvements.

I understand the frustrations of our Canes family. We EXPECT more and that's not necessarily a bad thing. If we didn't care about this program, we wouldn't care less what the product on the field looked like.

Baloney!!! The Confederacy of Dunces complains about EVERYTHING! This is not an issue of deriding people who have at least a general understanding as to what they are talking about. No, this is about a mob who on a daily basis try to top each other with screwball negative conclusions/comments. A whole herd of the geniuses are now calling for the firing of Mark Richt. In the world of turbocharged stupidity that is the blue ribbon winner at the state fair.

I think my first argument with anyone on this board was with you, but I completely agree and understand where you’re coming from here. I don’t think coach should be fired.

It’s just really annoying sometimes when you see a clear dysfunction, and it seems like nothing is being done about it. Sometimes fans serve as that outside catalysts to make sure proper actions are taken. But sometimes (especially with this fan base) fans go overboard.

Like I said I don’t want coach fired, but he def needs to start making changes. Coaches aren’t perfect, and not every decision they make is right. They get paid millions of dollars at this level so they deserve to be criticized when they’re not doing something right.
