Calling For Coach Richt To Be Fired

I am not calling for Richt's firing. .... but call it what it is ...

.... His one-time 1 million dollar gift is being recycled to the QB coach (as salary and opportunity to pad his son's resume) and the hydration specialist .... go figure ....

This is truly total idiocy, and what makes it all the more flabbergasting...you believe that crap you posted. Wow! Just Wow!

I am impressed that you could write sentence after sentence of total crap. You are the poster child for my original post. Never has anyone said so much that meant so little.

Instead of wasting my time knocking down all of that BS you proudly posted let’s just take one of your more laughable and clueless comments; “Lack of focus on the run game - a hallmark of Richt's offense and one of the reasons he can't get over the hump.”

Yet, the following is a sampling of coach Richt’s running backs who most all played in the NFL and some were Heisman trophy candidates….Danny Ware, Kregg Lumpkin, Thomas Brown, Knowshon Moreno, Sony Michel, Nick Chubb, and Todd Gurley. Kind of a head-scratcher when one considers your following words of wisdom. (Richt has a ) "Lack of focus on the run game". Makes me wonder what running backs would have joined Coach Richt at Georgia had he focused on the run game.

Listen Lombardi, might be time for you to retire from the world of UM football experts and just sit back and enjoy the games.

Shall I go on? Over the past decade, he's had exactly TWO seasons with above national average rush attempts per game. TWO.

Vast majority on here have not said fire Richt. A lot of complaining yes.one reason for lot of complaints are because most on here just recovering from being Coker, Shannon and Goldenized. Most on here including the author of this thread have an agenda. Mine is I do not believe any one of the young QB,s would not be better than Rosier. . Not his fault he is in this position but he needs to be replaced.

I think most know that the internet, social media etc etc are soap boxes for the stoopit of the world. How about we move on to this week? It will be nice to see the young QB’s. Should be a nice confidence builder.

Go Canes!

P.S. - Butch Davis should be revered on this board. He built the greatest college football team of all time. Fact.

The CIS site is mostly (not all) a home for those who do nothing but complain and belittle. Reading many of the posts after the LSU game drove home the point that the haters, who claim to be UM fans, were giddy as they ravaged the football program from stem to stern.

After a UM loss, the number of posts appears to outnumber, by a wide margin, the posts after a UM win. That alone should tell you all you need to know.

It is clear that some are not in an earthly orbit when calling for the firings of Coach Richt and Coach Diaz. Our competitors have to be thrilled by our 'useful idiots' who are working overtime to destroy the program.

Employ your wildest imagination and try to visualize the catastrophic damage to the program if Coach Richt were fired. Recruits and their families would be afraid to sign on with the Canes knowing full and well the program has zero stability...and sanity! The media would have a field day shredding the program and knee-slapping laughing at us. Any coach of substance being offered the UM head coaching job after the firing of Coach Richt would think...these clowns need a net thrown over them and should be lobotomized?...the answer is not no. But, **** NO!!!

And those calling for the hiring of Butch Davis, why not Jimmie Johnson or Howard Schnellenberger? At least they won National Championships. The rich irony is, the mob (whose collective knowledge of the program could be fit on the head of a sewing needle), based on the early records of Schnellenberger, Johnson and yes Davis would have been howling for banner planes to fly to help fire those bums.

Now, I realize that the normal suspects will be down-voting this entry, along with the dumb, boring, etc. designations, not to mention the not terribly bright insults, but those actions do one thing...they prove my case. But where are the clowns--Send in the clowns--Don't bother, they're already here!

Don't agree with calling for Richt to be fired, but I do agree with the need for several things:

1. Hire a competent O Line Coach, QB Coach, and OC (OC can be QB Coach and dual hat).
2. We need to start the young talent at QB, or at least play one of them A LOT going forward. Let today be the audition.
3. Manny and his merry men on defense need to shorten the substitutions. #20 is not UM caliber, and you should never have a whole subunit (Say LB) substituted at the same time.
4. Improve the play calling (Or have an accurate QB execute the current play calling scheme)

If Richt fails to make any of these changes this season, and we lose to teams we shouldn't culminating in a terrible season, Richt should be put on notice and forced by Fake James to make off season wholesale changes.

So, it is your contention that firing Mark Richt wouldn't even be a ripple on the pond. Coach Richt is an upper echelon coach that is exceedingly admired and respected throughout college football. He is here because of his love for his alma mater and is committed to rescuing the football program from oblivion. In other words; Richt would have never come to Miami if not for his connection to the school.

If you are right about how easy it would have been to have hired a 'name' replacement coach after Golden's termination please list those names who were seriously considering Miami.

Here's the thing, you will not be proven wrong simply because no one within the Miami administration or Board of Trustees would be insane enough to even whisper such a foolish and ridiculous thought.

Dude, respond to posters in format....have no idea who you are responding to.

Rick’s first mistake was hiring Diaz even though he targeted Aranda initially. His even bigger mistake was sticking with #12 when all of the signs were there that he was just bad plain and simple.

I blame Rick for failing to find a capable replacement in almost 3 years. I am not interested in hearing excuses because this isn’t Rick’s first year.

The O line was awful in 2016 and it may be worse this year. We seem to be going backwards.

You circus clown...Coach Richt's offensive philosophy was first the passing game, thus the number of carries per game and overall rushing yardage was affected. Yet, when called upon his running game was fantastic. "There are three types of lies -- lies, **** lies, and statistics". Go sell your snake oil somewhere else as you do not have one clue concerning what you are blathering on about.

PS: Sending you on that errand to look up Georgia's rushing stats put a big smile on my face. Sadly, you don't have any idea what they mean!

Biggest mistake in my mind is bringing junior on as QB coach, and senior being stubborn AF and not improving himself as play caller over the off season...his only new wrinkle is going into the pistol pre-snap, which does absolutely nothing for our offense.

We should be winning. That's why there's more posts when we lose. We look like **** most of the time so people complain about it. Deal with it.

I don't want CMR fired, I think we have a long term coach the face of the program thru the 2020s. I thrust CMR but would like to see:

Short term:
1. The 3 freshman QBs given an opportunity to start, with a new starting QB being selected for the North Carolina game. I appreciate Rosier for being a 5 year Cane, but its time to put the program ahead of him.
2. Likewise give Spicer equal time in the next 3 games and lets select the best punter for the North Carolina game.
3. Recruit a QB in this cycle, we should realistically expect a transfer or two after the summer of 2019.
4. Give Scaife and or Reid a shot in the next 3 games to win a starting OL job as well, with a new Starter developed for the North Carolina game.

Long term:
1. Play 1 vs 1 SOME in the spring and summer, coach knows best but it appeared to me that our starting lines were not used to equal caliber starters and blitzes.
2. I want our ST to bring fear into the hearts of the opponents, any given year with our SF athletes we should be top notch. I want opponents to think twice about kicking to us. The only way I can see that now is for a different ST coach to be named, same way we are paying a premium for Searles to be our OL coach, lets select the best ST ONLY coach and bring him on after the bowl games.

I love the Canes and like CMR we were in school at the same time a great guy a great coach, someone that truly cares for the players, I want him to be the face of the program. I'm even OK with Jon staying. But a few changes must be made. With that said I'm still a Cane and stand behind the team and will defend it to any jerk that roots for other teams.

It was no errand, the numbers flow like wine. I am no hero worshipper.

Its good that you legitimately have no idea wtf you are talking about. I'd rather you just respond with "Richt's ****** tastes delicious"...it'd be more substantial of a response.

Do you feel better, OP? After venting your feelings to a bunch of strangers on the internet.

LOL....you are obviously doing the exact same thing. We are all strangers with supposedly one thing in common, but some of us just go about it in a different manner which is ok.

Give us a jet sweep, or anything horizontal with Thomas, Harley, Dallas. Ah what's the use he'll never change. His way or the highway. He's Al Golden.
