Call me crazy but I think Diaz will be easily replaceable

I think a lot of you will push this narrative in order to make yourselves feel better, but will get a big dose of reality come August-Sep/October of 2019.

But hey, at least there's a new excuse to make for the next 2 years, so that's good.

If excuses magically turned into cash, I'd be a millionaire by now.:youre-nuts:

Back then we didnt want him, we will be good as long as CMR doesnt have a long lost brother somewhere that is unemployed

I've been saying it, not that i or coach richt wanted to see manny go, but the one thing that's clear, coach richt does a great job at hiring coaches. I also like how he hires cause whoever is the next d-co, the way it seems to me howw coach richt hires is based on guys having job security, so no matter who the d-co is, he wont be able to come in and get rid of anyone just to bring his guys in, and our position coaches are are, particularly coach rumph, banda and simpson are elite.

And since coach richt is big on staff unity and bringing in the right fit, he hires the way UM mainly hired since the schnelly days, keep the assistants just bring in a coordinator. Not saying its going to happen but i wouldnt be surprised to see coach shannon come back home either. Whoever it is going to be, we'll be straight and coach richt will take his time!

You can't make this **** up,

right Jon.

Obviously everyone is technically replaceable. But if he goes, this is a HUGE bummer.

1. Do we not recall the trainwreck that we had before him? its not a given that a Miami defense will be a Miami defense. Not a given that the new guy will be as good as Diaz.
2. Diaz infused energy, passion, aggressiveness, etc to this defense. We likely will lose some of that( obviously just a guess that this will happen).
3. Our defense recruiting was way ahead of the offense( again, as we all know) mostly due to Diaz. We lose that too.
4. We lose Banda, who was a **** good recruiter.
5. Diaz is a Miami guy, literally. Even though he did not attend the school, he took the Miami brand to heart. Tough to replace.

Happy for him, our program gets a certain " cred" for having one of our guys being wanted, but ****,,,

People already forget that when we hired Diaz, he was at best, riding the defensive coordinator carousel around various programs. He was far from a hot commodity and worked out just fine.
This very true..... Manny's scheme worked well with the talent here....
I'm just wondering how it's gonna look for him at Temple...... Will his style translate well with the talent up there ???

don't get me wrong, he did a great job getting his guys coached up and motivated to play every Saturday

but i think we can easily find another creative defensive mind who knows how to use these speedy South Florida defenders in an attacking defense
You're right, Manny the coordinator can be replaced. What can't be replaced is the culture he created in that locker room; Manny is Miami
