I'm not trying to stick up for cal but I'm not sure it's even possible to embarrass the acc anymore. it's already past the point of no return

also cal new HC hasn't started yet
The interim has been coaching for several games including wins.

The ACC is 3-0 in bowl season so far.

I just dont see how cal winning or losing will change any perception of the acc

the only way for the acc perception to change even a little is for us to win next Wednesday and then probably the game after as well

I turned it on when they were up 21-0 and have just had it on in the background while I finished wrapping presents, taking breaks to check on the board, etc.

Just looked up when they were reviewing that TD just now and couldn’t believe it. WTF

Should non-CFP bowl games even count for conference perception these days anyway? They feel like exhibition games or NFL Preseason games. Half the time a team has different coaches and starters than during the season anyway. Last year we tested a different QB for our next season during the second half of our game. I don’t really see the point in talking trash about a team’s bowl loss anymore.

It is all cumulative and will take years to change perceptions. The ACC could go undefeated in bowl games this year and it won't matter. Have 5 years of bowl game successes and then the perception may start to change.

The $EC has done a great job of setting the narrative to their advantage over the years (admittedly with strong bowl results in the 2010's). The narrative is still going strong even with 2 years of no participants in the National Championship game.
