Cal vs Oregon

For all the Freeze talk - my one concern that isn't BOT related:
- The issue year in and year out since Richt/Manny have been at the helm has been culture. Lack of discipline/focus. Lack of accountability. Lack of leadership. Lack of overall locker room culture. Players doing things on social media to bring negative attention, players skipping practice, players quitting, split locker rooms, etc. Is Freeze going to be "the guy" to demand accountability/respect from that locker room and fix this cancer that's been festering for years? It's a legitimate question. I don't know much about him. But for those on the outside as casual fans, if his dismissal at Ole Miss is an indication of the man, it may be tough to say "do as i say, not as i did". And don't say winning cures all.....it doesn't. It cures some but the moment you lose once or a guy doesn't get his playing time, it all circles back.
“He went to Liberty University, became a born-again Christian and cleaned up. He made mistakes. He’s living a different life now.”

That’s what I think the BOT can use for cover if they wanted to. I’ll let someone else answer the locker room culture stuff.

I think I’d be more inclined to buy it is it wasn’t sleezy Ole Miss…and I’d need to look back at the timing to see if that was clearly aligned with the suspect increase in class rankings out of the blue which screams more about them being dirty than elite
It was. All those wins he got in real time, have been wiped from records. He hasn’t proven he can actually recruit without cheating.

My son is at prom tonight with some hussy. Her dad is a real piece of work,.

Don't expect him home until maybe 10am tomorrow. Gave him a six pack of condoms.
When did Prom become a fall event? Prom has historically been a spring event, the last major party before graduation.

Why Freeze? - “He’s a great recruiter!!”

But he paid them at Ole Miss - “So what he’d kill it here!”

Just doesn’t sound like it would end well with the wholesome, never in trouble with NCAA, never on their radar, really quiet behind the scenes fan base, Miami Hurricanes

We need a proven winner, he beat Alabama multiple times which hardly any coach in the SEC has, won other big games at Ole Miss, has Liberty dominating and beating teams they shouldn't.

My point is, he's done nothing that other coaches ain't doing, he just got caught because big boosters from other schools went after him, it's all about the money. He doesn't have those issues here that he had in the SEC. And everyone shouldn't be condemned for life for mistakes, otherwise it diminishes the point of redemption, he's doing fine at Liberty, no reason he shouldn't be considered. Stop giving the BOT banter is what I'm saying, you know they read this BS everyone is putting out on social media.

Historical traditions be damned. Whoop has the connections to get prom moved to a more convenient time of year.

And I’m not saying I’m against him. I legit want to know more about why he’d be really good for us.

Good points. To be balanced, I won’t tell the BOT Mario is questionable and Stoops has been given 9 years at UK…

FOR THE NEXT TIME AND THE NEXT TIME SOMEONE BRINGS THIS UP, HIS BUYOUT IS 19.9 IF KENTUCKY FIRES HIM. MIAMI WOULD NOT HAVE TO PAY ANYTHING CLOSE TO THAT TO HIRE HIM. NO COACHES BUYOUT IS THAT MUCH TO BE HIRED AT ANOTHER SCHOOL.

It doesn't read like that but i understand what you're saying - the difference between school buyout (if fired, ala Manny) vs buyout if he was to leave for another job. All references to the $1.65M buyout if he was to leave are from back in 2019. His contract was recently adjusted, so i would expect that buyout was as well but i can't find any solid information on it....so maybe it wasn't. I can't see Kentucky making a commitment to him as a top15 coach in salary and not protecting themselves a bit more with monetary compensation.

At most I could see like 4-7 even with this new contract

In my search to find that true buyout number, i stumbled upon an LSU forum that says Stoops is going to LSU - the source is supposedly a former UK receiver some guy golfs with. I wonder if that source is as credible as the barber in Miami.
