Bye weeks...

Why do we ALWAYS come out of bye weeks playing worse than the previous week? Dumb penalties, poor execution, slow starts...it’s always the same under this coach...and the score actually should have been worse! Ladson dropped a wide-open TD and they got stopped at the goal line to end the game. Yeah, there’s a significant talent gap between these two teams, but tonight’s game wasn’t even really competitive. Ask yourself: did we look sharp in any phase of the game besides special teams? Did our coaches put us in a position to win the game? If Manny is really at a loss like he appears to be below, maybe it’s best that he looks in the mirror:

after the bye week we played Clemson

Clemson was better. And more importantly, we got their best. They were up for that game. That was the kind of performance you see out of them in the playoffs.

It wouldn’t have mattered how much time we got to prepare; they are simply better than us.
