bye week ... qbs to target for 2026

Dylan Raiola has started every game at quarterback for Nebraska this season. He has completed 118-of-159 passes for 1,331 yards and 12 touchdowns and 2 ints. Entering the Maryland game, Raiola ranks sixth nationally in completion percentage (74.2), 12th in completions per game (23.6), 14th in passing touchdowns, 18th in passing efficiency (166.9) and 22nd in passing yards per game (266.2).

and all this behind a dog sh*t offensive line!
Lol, he will easily enter next year as a top 2 QB for the draft. Super overrated though according to cis.

You not rooting for Ward to Beck year over year?? :jordan:

Get the best available..
This is a logical fallacy. Because you prefer one thing doesn't mean you don't like another. That's like saying I want Salma Hayek in my bed so I wouldn't like Angelia Jolie! (yes I am old)

Of course I am rooting for Beck now and Ward last year, however it is easier to get emotionally invested in someone like Bain or Cici that you watch and root for multiple years. This is the same reason that I have a hard time getting into college basketball in the one and done era. I fully admit that limiting your options to only QB's with multiple years left is not the best way to go about it. Just hoping from a purely fan point of view that the best available will be someone that will be around for multiple years.

Edit: clarity.

Raiola should be an option if he does look to transfer. But he is ranked near the bottom in some important fields imo. He’s holding the ball too long, pressures to sack ratio & air yards per attempt.

My QB (Mestemaker) is playing Friday for N Texas vs USF. Same coach who ID'd Cam, Mateer, and the UVA QB Morris.

Sorsby is the Junior with experience that clearly has improved due to having a better OL. He is the one that fits the Beck, Cam type that isn't going to be a Day one after this year but another year at Miami could boost him to day one. The other that fits the same mold, Hoover at TCU except he is still taking sacks so his stats likely jump a bunch behind our wall.

I'd also be good with Mensah(duke) and Bailey(NCSt).

I have watched him play. Noodle arm and not particularly mobile. He can put up decent numbers against inferior opponents but struggles against top tier teams
This is a lot more useful. I have only watched a couple games and he has been streaky. Would not be my first choice as I indicated, but I would certainly take him as upgrade over our entire room.

Lol. I want to take this post serious, feel free to expound.
Raiola stinks. Just listened to cover 3. They were saying his air yards is worst in the P4. Everything is a screen. I only watched him play opening week but he just didn’t improve imo.

Take away the recruiting ranking and he is an average (at best) P4 qb.

Idk if he has the arm, but Colton Joseph at old dominion has been absolutely electric for 2 seasons now. OD is a wagon right now. That kid deserves a shot at P4, just not sure it’s at Miamis level. More like nc state after vault leaves, something like that.

Bring me Colton Joseph next year. Kid is electric.
