If we keep them in 3rd and long and force QB to beat us with his arm we should win big. Big thing to watch for our front 7 over playing their gaps and not containing pitch man. With Diaz aggressive 1 gap i think you see all 3 backs on the ground every play and we keep them subdued all day.
 
GT seems to pass the ball downfield more. I also believe GT has a more "pure" triple option and less gimmicks than App State.
 
Actually Ga Tech has the better passing, especially for the deep pass. Deep passing usually compliments the run game better than short passing does. Because defending the run and defending a screen pass aren't as different as people think.

Tech's option is a completely different animal than what applesauce state runs. Yes, assignments are the priority. I predict more playing time for Mike Smith and Darrion Owens. Holding them to short gains or losses on 1st down is huge. Scoring early and often is also important but overlooked. If you can get out to a big lead, it totally changes what they want to do on offense. Ideally, for them, they'd like to keep it low scoring so they can drain thr clock with time killing drives. If they get behind early, they're forced into having to pass the ball more and try to operate at a faster pace. Not their wheelhouse.
