A family freind just relayed me info he heard earlier. He said that the president is going to allow butch to sit down and talk to him about the job.

I don't want to start bull**** rumors and I'm not trying to be some "insider". Just sharing info as others have.

I heard the same thing.

Also, the interview will be conducted in Spanish with no interpreter.

I will say Julio "Sicario" Frenk is the real deal.

Two months on the job and already **** canned a coach.

Cue the boy and dog praying gif. Please let this happen. Frenk is a smart man and obviously realizes the importance of a successful program in generating revenue. He has to understand the enormous push for Butch and what he has done for this program. I'm already feeling positive about him being involved or at least allowing the firing of Folden and seems like he is different than Shalala.
 
when one person is applying for a job and goes to meet with the boss of the job he is applying for its called a ****** interview. that's your scoop??

Don't want to piggyback, however my boy in Virginia (who's a diehard Cane fan as well) said he heard that Butch is quietly a front runner due to fan support and several "uppers" having an affinity with what he did here. Said he tuned in to one of their local sports outlets that's a sister station of ESPN. Again, since I didn't hear it, can't confirm or deny, and he's not on the inside so he can't confirm or deny, but being that Butch's name is now being boldly thrown about by several sports outlet like BR, College Spun, anf ESPN, there's some smoke at least.
 
tried to tell u guys donna wouldnt let blake fire golden. blake didnt even flitch when they though golden was leaving for PSU.
its like u guys who said fire coach d. it was golden defense.
Frenk loved going to the football games at michigan and loved the program. no doubt he would give green light

1. One of our elite fans (we've all seen the photo) was wearing a BRING BACK BUTCH shirt when he ran into Frenk and Stuart, and Frenk asked "who is this Butch?" Stuart told him he was a former football coach, and that his father had brought Butch in. So Frenk, several weeks before he assumed his duties at UM got an introduction to fans wanting Butch Davis back.

2. I'd assume President Frenk, if he used due diligence, watched THE U, Part 2 - and that alone would burn what Butch really did at UM into the mind of any sane, rational, prudent person.

3. Butch has maintained contact with a number of Miami folks, and has let it be known - for months and months already - his interest in returning.

4. Our first or a very early banner flew calling for Butch to Save Miami.

Then we get these trickles of hints that some of the BOT members and numerous trustees like Butch Davis and know what he can do.

Then there's the BIG ONE: We cannot afford to gamble a fourth time. Limited money, but can't roll the dice again. Butch Davis.

Then there's his own statements - yeah, he's already got some names for his staff AND their phone numbers.

Finally: Butch will light up college football.
