We have to make damned certain we don't hire a FOURTH doo-doo.

1. Butch has already recovered UM from a disaster.
2. Butch did so while losing 30 recruiting losses.
3. Butch is not exceeded at recruiting.
4. Butch is not exceeded at evaluating talent anywhere.
5. Butch - we can afford.
6. Butch actually wants to return to the U and do it again.
7. Butch won't be running off after the NFL or another school at the first whistle.
8. Butch has already put together a National Championship caliber team.

Nah what we all KNOW is that Butch is the only one that we can say with any certainty that can get us back to our lofty status that is proven here.....FOLDEN is proven at Temple so perhaps he could go back there?

True but not sure we will out spend UK at this point. Maybe the ntrigue of actually winning could pull him.

I also think Rich Rod is an option at $1.5M at Arizona.

I'm not sure if it's you who keeps posting that or someone else. Rich Rod made a base salary of $1.5 in his FIRST season at Arizona. He's making considerably more than that currently.

Mark Poops would eat a **** to come to UM. Kentucky is NOT a destination job. UM is. If he wins 8 games for a couple years and gets that program to where Rich Brooks had it he'll get an offer from a big time program and split. The ceiling at KY is 8 or 9 wins per year.

And he has an eye for talent. May not get the top guys in Texas but will still build the program.
