Butch would eat up the ACC - too bad you guys don't recall how things used to be around here.

We haven't seen anything like a Butch Davis team since they pretty much graduated in 2002.

Oh I agree. Butch is not the only choice. I feel he would be motivated to do well here, but he’s definitely not the only choice. For me, I’m all in on Babers. I’ve said that since the job became open here. Wherever he’s been, dude has gone a phenomenal job in getting the program up and running w/in a couple of years. ****, Bowling Geeen experienced so much success during his tenure they became spoiled. Lol.

Campbell, Babers, Novell are my guys. But if we’re trying to go the cheap route w a proven commodity, Butch would be it.

I’m just saying no need to trash the guy. The hate he receives is unnecessary.

Why would we have played for the ACC title? Butch hasn’t even played for the conference USA title in year 3?

I actually did a career choke breakdown on him back when I was on caneinsider. From Miami , unc to Cleveland. The amount of second half collapses was unreal.

People forget a lot about his coaching by that roster he left behind. They also forget that 2000 team. I’ve always said “ only Butch could’ve screwed that roster up. It was actually better top to bottom than the 01 team. But people fail to remember that, since we crapped the bed.

And we remember each other from CI.

When you're short-handed - like our defense was worn out late in games as our damned offense couldn't get a first down - yeah - you'll find the second half difficult to keep up.

You keep forgetting - like you got pine knots in your skull - 31 Scholarship losses! Didn't have enough players to even scrimmage!

How about analyzing that - the first four letters being significant in your case . . .

Saban would be flat on his *** with that many!

I feel ya , and I am trolling a bit but I’ve always thought he’s very overrated. Especially as a ganedsy coach , he’s actually kinda bad.

He can evaluate like no other but very meh as a hc. He also hires quality assistants.

That being said , We can do better and should expect better.

You continue to compare a coach that averages 4-5 losses per year to obviously the goat. Doesn’t that sound ridiculous ?

But the non butch slurpers are the crazy ones lol.

Your blind love of this man is seriously disturbing. At least find a coach with a great resume to worship. You can do better.

There’s coaches out there that only have 2-3 losses per year to worship.
