No matter how hard I try I just can't take the Butch is God thing too serious... Flip side I had to hand it to the old shiit last year in the flop-bowl... Que Viva Butch!
**** he's just a couple of years older... forget the old shiit line.

Yeah, the nerve of that guy. And UM being such a great, supporting environment for football coaches that excelled at what they do. Just ask JJ or Schnelly.

Both those great coaches are National Championship winners at the U and still love this university. Butch Davis is not and to this day is still trying to rewrite history about the flat out lies he told about how and why he left.

JJ and Schnellenberger were forced out? Are you joking?
You must not have been around then. It was a battle of egos with Tad Foote. Foote felt envious, they were stealing his thunder. He made conditions so difficult they had no choice. Do you really think Howard thought that leaving for the USFL (or whatever that league was) was a advancing his career? You don't think JJ had an easy out when his college roommate bought the Cowboys?

November 23, 2019 he rose from the dead.

Still can't believe we lost that game I sat at my tv with no emotion I even shut it off and put it back on later. I knew we were cooked man.....I remember reading here well after we beat him blah blah blah u guys can stfu.....I wanted to win as well I didn't care I root for UM but those people disappeared and came back later on. Funny thing is people like me always show up win or lose man. I didn't even imagine us losing the game I predicted savagery from us. The worst loss ever in year 1

I don’t credit Butch alone with the win.... I more so am critical at our staff. Our players were beyond lethargic, and the kitties played their A game. The embarrassment for the ages.

I actually was around back then and was in the stands for each of the national championship games Jimmy and Schnellenberger won..

And btw the answer is yes to both your questions. Yes Howard thought it was a career advancement. In addition to HC and GM duties he was given a small ownership stake in a new pro football team. He has said multiple times he regrets ever leaving Miami, And yes it was a no brainer for Jimmy too. He and Jones were still close friends back then and the Dallas Cowboys are the premiere franchise in pro football and maybe all of US sports along with the Yankees.

Neither was any, shape or form forced out,

We'll to agree to disagree. I know that the discontent with the administration, was a primary factor for them to be even looking.

The fake injuries were epic.
Some may have seen them as the equalizer... and treat them as “the ends justifies the means”... others saw it as bush league which it definitely was. In retrospect Butch didn’t have to go there to win.

Dude if the bar for judging him as a coach is beating us last year then that's pretty sad.

Outside of one really incredible team he put together here, he's been a perennial 7-9 game winner his entire 20 year HC career.
Really?

Watch this:

Fūck his old washed-up *** that nobody but a shlthole commuter school would hire...how’s that?
Literally have never one single time used the ambiguouslghey *** hearts face upvote until this moment

It's only fun when you're rubbing it in.
